INTRODUCTIONEvery succesfull business is represented by a symbol. A logotype. Likewise a business is characterized by the capability to communicate who they are and what they do. To accomplish this, you need to take care of your brand. And it’s not just about the logotype–it’s the whole concept. This guide to the Aqua Robur visual identity will help Aqua Robur communicate thier ideas and products.

LOGOTYPEThis is the Aqua Robur logotype. It’s our main symbol in all communication as the key stone in our visual identity. No other logotypes are allowed.

How to usePRINT When using Aqua Robor logotype make sure there are free zones around it according to the measurments described in the illustration. The logotype should be placed in the upper left corner or centered above text. The logotype can only be used in Light turqouise, black or white on a colored background.

Due to readibilty the logotype width may never be less then 30 milimeters. When writing Aqua Robur in text use uppercase and lowercase.

WEBThe rules for using the logotype on the web is the same as in printing. Use the .png logotype file for publishing on the web.

Our colors are one of the basic elements andtherefore important in our visual identity. By using these colors we are a uniqe branded actor in the business creating a high recognition factor.

The colors are a turqouise as main color and a blue as a sekundary color. These colors have a positive and energetic vibe and symbolize water. They mediate the feeling of a modern, unique and credible company. Complementary colors can be used and are 60 % opacity of the turqouise and the blue and 100 % black and white.

How to use PRINTThe colors should be used to colorize headlines, introductions and highlighted parts in texts. The colors also apply for graphic elements such as text dividers. The colors can be used as background areas to put white text or illustrations upon.

WEBThe main rule is to use the colors in the same way on the web as in printing. It may be wise to avoid using the Turqouise as a background element due to poor readability. Use Blue instead. Colors can be used to divide pages to make a clear break when scrolling down.

Transportation, treatment, and use of water and waste water in cities can generate power – not losses. The diverse, multinational team driving Aqua Robur has a background and experience in business development, finances, mechanical engineering, design, R&D and managing renewable energy systems. Started as a venture at Encubator, Aqua Robur has access to knowledge hub consisting of Chalmers University of Technology and the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship.

Aqua Robur develops innovative clean technology to let cities and municipa-lities profitably fight climate change. By transforming excess pressure in water and wastewater into accessible electricity cities will use their valuable resources more efficiently while reducing CO2 emissions. Aqua Robur will align with smart water management which is expected to dramatically increase.

Aqua Robur technology is covered in a Swedish patent and has EPO patent pending. The turbine has unique properties such as small size, scalability and capability to generate electricity within variable flow. FONTSThe font to communicate Aqua Robur is Verlag. This is a sans serif font that’s clean, modern and breathes stability.

Verlag has three sub familys and we work with two of them: Verlag and Verlag Condensed which both come with several weights.

How to usePRINTUse uppercase letters Verlag Condensed Black in Turqouise as the main headline. Use Verlag bold lower case letters in Blue color as sub headline and introduction.

For content text use Verlag Light in black and for highlighted parts use Verlag Bold in petrol blue. For bylines use Verlag Light Italic in colour black. The size of text depends on layout but main headline should always stand out in an direct way.

WEBUsage of the fonts on the web are the same as for print but to make sure the readability is satisfactory, increase the size of the content text. The line space should be 120–150 % of the content text size.

PICTURESGenre pictures that Aqua Robur communicates with should have an urban city feeling as well as a scanidinavic touch. But at the same time not connect to a specific city in an obvious way. In the future documenatry pictures of working sites and products may be of use.

How to usePRINT & WEBWe communicate with black and white pictures with a slight touch of brown, the latter to ensure a warm and welcoming feeling. When editing the pictures for duotone in rgb mode the preferences should be as follows: colour 1: r0 g0 b0colour 2: r118 g112 b101duotone curve: 0: 0 % 40: 16,3 % 100: 100 %.Pictures are allowed to have rectangular and round shapes. It’s also allowed a colored block with text upon the picture.

She holds a Bachelors degree in Design and Communication from her home country of Finland. Liisa has several years of experience as a designer and an entrepreneur working on sustainable lifestyle innovations and future media concepts.

NIKLAS JOHANSSONNiklas is a purposeful growth strategist with a great rapport with Aqua Robur’s customers and partners. He moves things forward both on operational level and when working with our growing network.Niklas is fi nishing his MSc at the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers. Niklas has a background as a CEO, aco-founder and a board member from a variety of industries.

GRAPHIC ELEMENTS& ILLUSTRATIONSRegarding grafic elements for print and web we use squares, circles and thin lines, vertical as well as horizontal. It suites our minimalistic layout. When making illustrations these elements are the starting point. These elements can be just squares, circles and lines but put together the right way they can resemble turbines and water pipes.

How to usePRINT & WEBThe graphic elements can be used to divide text blocks as well as stregthen the visiual identity in documents. The line should never be thicker than 0,5 millimeters. The main element used on the web is a thin line underneath each page headline.
