1.   Green  Recycle:  Look  for  paper,  plas?c,  and  metal  (cans)  recycling  near  you.  If  you  do  not  find  one,  ask  why  they  don’t  have  one,  and  if  you  can  take  the  material  home  to  recycle,  please  take  the  trouble  to  do  so.

2.   Respect:  Respect  the  resources  you  use.  Respect  results  in  minimized  abuse  of  resources.

3.   Energy:  Thermostat  at  78  F  in  summer  (if  you  can’t  avoid  AC);  65  F  in  winter  (if  you  need  hea?ng).  Use  efficient  ligh?ng  as  possible.  Switch  off  computers,  monitors,  etc.,  when  not  used  for  hours.

4.   Educate:  Talk  to  people  in  a  pleasant  manner  hin?ng  the  possible  “Green  Living”  –  Educate  through  exemplary  behavior.  Inspire  children.

5.   No  Disposables:  If  you  can,  avoid  single  use  items  (disposables),  especially  those,  which  can’t  be  recycled.

6.   Transporta?on:  Car-‐pool;  Plug-‐in  Hybrid;  Bicycle;  Less  Frequent  Travel;  Public  Transporta?on.

7.   Investment:  Green  Choice;  Sustainable  Energy;  Alterna?ve  Energy;  Social  Choice.  8.   Paper:  Think  before  you  print;  Double  sided  print;  Dispose  in  recycling  containers  only.  9.   Save  for  the  Future:  Think  of  the  future  genera?ons.  Leave  behind  no  trash,  but  a

healthy  Earth,  pure  Air,  and  a  treasure  of  “Knowledge  and  Wisdom”  behind.    10.  For  You:  Be  aware  where  your  products  (food,  clothing,  etc.)  are  produced  and  how

much  energy  they  consumed  before  reaching  you.  Go  for  low-‐energy  footprint  products.
