Our People: Community Involvement

The Greensboro Customer Care Center (Sponsored by the Diversity Committee) host the All American Potluck in recognition of Greensboro’s First Responders (Police, Firefighters, Sheriff,

Deputies, EMS and National Guard). Guest from various organizations are invited to join Deluxe employees for a lunch in

their honor to commemorate the terrible tragedy that took place in America on 09/11.

ALL AMERICAN POTLUCK

 The Junior Achievement Elementary School Program includes six grade-specific themes for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. The

programs teach elementary school students the basic concepts of business and economics and show children how education is relevant to their future

and to the workplace..  

In 2010, Deluxe began to partner with Junior Achievement of Central North Carolina by volunteering in the class room.  We had 11 volunteers who were assigned to various classes and cover 5 sessions of each class for 30 minutes at a time at Sedgefield

elementary.

FINANCIAL LITERACYSMITH HIGH SCHOOL

Deluxe embarks on a mission to assist the students of Smith High School in Greensboro NC.

Our Goal: Assist students in understanding how to be money-wise in handling their finances as they enter the adult world.

TOOLS FOR SCHOOL

To achieve this the site has fundraisers throughout the year such as Supply Drives, Lunch Vendor Days, Silent

Auctions and a site Vendor Day which allows Entrepreneurs in the community to display their products to the employees at

Deluxe

Tools For Schools is an initiative in which the GCC gathers school supplies for both

Sedgefield Elementary School and the Teacher’s warehouse.

The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent treat and defeat heart disease, stroke

and other cardiovascular diseases.

The funds we raise in the Heart Walk will support projects like Groundbreaking research, Getting life-saving information, putting updated research into doctors hands so the can better prevent and treat patients

Deluxe is a corporate sponsor for the race. The Greensboro Community Volunteer Committee begins its fund raising in February by hosting a variety of activities to raise funds for various non-profit organizations the site chooses each year.

ADOPT – A- STREET

Adopt-A-Street is a GCC initiative in which the site cleans up a stretch of Holden Road each quarter. 

The site partners with the City of Greensboro to maintain the cleanliness of the road.
