The Baker After School Center

Do you know about our Baker After School Center? It is a room on the lower level of the library where anyone be-tween the ages of 11 and 18 can meet on school days on Monday - Thursday 2:00 - 6:00 pm and Fridays 2:00 - 5:00 pm. No advanced signup is required. The center has 16 computers and tables for projects. It provides a great place for students to hang out, do homework, and/or participate in fun activities. Check the teen zone on our webpage (www.yourlibrary.ws) for upcoming events.

Share a Book and a Snack

Snacks for Valentine’s Day celebration are sure to include hearts and chocolate. Come with a book to share and an appetite. If you are between 11-18 just drop in to the Baker After School Center on Tuesday, February 7th from 3:00-4:00.

Teen Paper Bead Workshop

Come and drop in to learn the art of making paper beads on Thurs-day, February 16th from 3:30-4:30. The beads can be used for keychains, bracelets, necklac-es or whatever you can come up with.

LEGO Universe will be held on Saturday February the 11th from 11:00-12:00 and Wednes-day February the 29th from 4:30-5:30 this month. Anyone between the ages of 6 and 16 are welcome. No sign up is neces-sary but I would love to know if you plan to come. Just contact Rhonda at [email protected] or leave me a mes-sage at 949-3630 ext 115. Come ready to build and have some ideas for themes in the near future.

Anime Cinema Come and enjoy a free showing of Japanese-themed cartoons at 2:30 pm every Friday afternoon. Following each showing, feel free to stay and discuss what you have watched. Snacks will be provided.
