Authorized by the State Ministry of Education, Tongji University School of Medicine started the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Program in 2011. The ultimate goal of this program is to train physicians and surgeons who are potentially competent in the delivery of effective and ethical medical care in today’s rapidly changing health-care environment. As one of the most leading universities in China, Tongji University has been committed to offering internationally-standardized medical education by means of its geographical advantage and disciplinary strength. TUSM is where students will study with dedicated and outstanding faculty and meet diverse and talented students from all over the world. Qualified students will receive a globally recognized medical degree as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Tongji University.

All courses are taught in English. The curriculum of the program has been designed to help students gain sound professional integrity, solid ground of medical sciences, systematic knowledge of clinical medicine and skills and the capabilities of problem-solving in patient care. Courses are tailored so that students are able to take Physician Qualification Exams required by the relevant regulatory bodies of different countries to be doctors in their home country. Students are also encouraged to take USMLE from the fourth year when they begin clinical courses. Eight affiliated hospitals will provide students with clinical rotations in various clinical departments.

The application pacakage shall include:a. Authenticated copy of senior high school diploma;b. Detailed transcripts per semester or per academic year;c. One recommendation letter;d. Copy of Certificates that can prove English proficiency;e. The printed application form with signatures;f. Copy of valid passport main page;

* Inadequate application package will not be accepted.* Application documents will not be returned.

Who can apply?Non-Chinese citizen over 18 years old who holds a senior high school diploma with a good foundation of English proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 6.0 .or. TOEFL 80).

* Applicants who are native english speakers or have studied in an English-medium high school are not required to submit language proficiency certificates.
