DEMOGRAPHY
As of the 2007 Census of Population by the NSO, Hagonoy has a
total population of 124, 748.
The municipality is subdivided to five (5) clusters (kumpol) of
barangays according to their geographical location
Kumpol Elena has the highest population of 87,839 while
Kumpol Juan has the lowest population of 20,580
*2007 NSO Census of Population data does not include data on number of households
The three most populated barangays are: Sagrada Familia, Sta.
Elena, and San Roque. While barangays Carillo, Palapat, and
Tibaguin has the lowest population

INDIGENT HOUSEHOLDS
Based on the survey conducted by the Municipal Government in
2009, a total of 888 indigent households were identified.
Identification of indigent families was based on the following
criteria:
1. low total household income
2. number of dependents (elderly, disabled, students)
3. physical condition of house
4. lifestyle of household head
Kumpol Juan has the largest number of indigent households
(276) while Kumpol Kabayanan has the smallest (111)

The identified causes of flooding are the following:
High water level during spring tide period
High discharge into Hagonoy River coming
from a gap in Pampanga River dike
Inadequate capacity of waterways due to
constrictions and fairly flat river slope
(Halang and Hagonoy rivers)
