A WORK ORIENTED COURSE Your course is called Arbejdsmarkedsrettet Dansk which means Work-oriented Danish. The course is for those who quickly need to learn how to speak Danish. The course will also teach more than the Danish language. You will learn about being a resident in Denmark and about communicating with authorities and institutions via the Internet. The training is based on your needs so that you can learn Danish as quickly as possible in relation to your everyday life, work and studies.
FREE DANISH EDUCATION When you start your Danish education, you have the right to 250 lessons of Arbejdsmarkedsrettet Dansk, which must be completed within 1.5 years, starting from the moment you are assigned to a class and will keep counting regardless of your decision to stop/pause the course or to withdraw at an early stage. If you decide to pause the course, be aware that you might not be able to complete all five packages within 1.5 years. This means you will not be allowed to further free Danish lessons.
HOW IS IT ORGANISED? Arbejdsmarkedsrettet Dansk consists of 250 lessons that are divided into five packages. Each package consists of 50 lessons, both face-to-face and online.
The five packages each have a theme: Off to a good start in Denmark; Off to a good start in Danish; You’re making progress; It’s going well; On the way to ...
The table below is an overview of face-to-face and online lessons included in each package. The duration of each package depends on the number of face-to-face lessons per week. For example, the first package can last approximately 7 to 9 weeks, depending on if you are enroled to a class with four or five lessons per week. Remember a lesson is equivalent to 45 minutes.

BOOKS Lærdansk offers you a textbook for each package that is borrowed from the library. Please do not write or make notes in the book. We kindly ask you to return it in good condition. If you would like to have your own book, you can buy it from Alfabeta Digital. The book for the first package is named Puls 1.
FACILITIES As a student at Lærdansk you enjoy access to an array of facilities and services such as borrowing books from our school library, using computers or getting help with computer issues in the IT café (such as Google Apps or NemID), working, lounging or socialising in the Multicenter, or practicing your speaking skills at Speak Danish Café or Speak Danish Online.

ONLINE ACTIVITIES We strongly recommend you to participate in the online activities, as they are an useful tool for your progress in Danish. As part of your course, there are two types of online activities:
1.) Alfabeta Digital which is part of your textbook. Visit alfabetadigital.dk/puls1
2.) Lærdansk Online An interactive platform where you can access different exercises and get personal feedback from a teacher. Lærdansk Online is the online part of each package. You will receive your username and password (uni login) from your teacher in class. Visit netdansk.itai.dk
You will be introduced to Lærdansk Online on your first course day. If you are absent, you will have the possibility to participate in the introduction held in the Multicenter at our school at another time. For more information, please ask your teacher.
GET A CERTIFICATE After each completed package you can get a certificate from the Danish Ministry of Education.

CONTINUE LEARNING DANISH When you complete all five packages of Arbejdsmarkedsrettet Dansk you will be offered a placement test, which we strongly encourage you to take. This test gives you access to up to three more years of Danish courses. It will show your level of Danish and will decide where you will be placed in the module system if you want to continue with further Danish education (see the figure to the right).
You can receive a module test certificate stating your level of Danish language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
