We look forward to a year of challenges, changes and new opportunities. Over the last few years we have seen an increase in market share due to the acceptance of PEEL grinding and other superabrasive processes that improve productivity and lower manufacturing costs. Weldon’s pioneering efforts in this technology are now paying dividends in the form of orders that may have been lost to lower cost commodity machines if we didn’t demonstrate the “value” associated with this technology. Happy New Year from Weldon Solutions By: Denny Rowe

2008 is shaping up to be a good year for Weldon. We look forward to a year of challenges, changes and new opportunities. Challenges will come from stiffer

competition and economic issues in the manufacturing sector; Changes will include a new modern facility for Weldon; Opportunities will develop from new product offerings and a much improved IMTS format that we expect will result in a well attended and exciting show.

Weldon’s success and growth can be traced back to 2002 when our focus turned from stand-alone grinding machine sales to full SOLUTIONS. Since then we have engineered a wide variety of turnkey automation for our grinders and for existing lathes, mills and presses. We have also demonstrated our ability to provide complete manufacturing cells that incorporate grinding, robotics, deburr, parts washing, part handling , and QC gaging. This full service capability has lowered our customer’s risk and allowed us to be competitive in large high-profile projects.

Weldon Solutions will be moving…… With a bit of luck, by early Fall 2008 Weldon Solutions will be relocating to a brand new facility. Management considered expanding the present building but decided that a new building would be more cost effective. The groundbreaking was held Dec. 7,

2007 at our new site on East Berlin Road, approximately 10 minutes from the old building. As the building progresses, pictures will be added to keep everyone up to date. When the time comes for the actual move, we will be mailing literature with all the pertinent information to everyone.

Weldon’s Christmas party was held at the Four Points Sheraton on Dec. 8, 2007. The band “God Bless Our Mobile Home” played and entertained throughout the evening. There were many games to play, lots of food to eat and presents to open. Everyone had a great time. Thank you activities committee (Paul Garner, Bernie Schott, and Jen Yoder) for all the fun events in 2007.
