In December 2012, Chantiers de l’Atlantique signed a contract to build a cruise ship for the Royal Caribbean International (a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd) fleet. The third ship in the Oasis class, featuring outstanding dimensions was delivered mid-2016. This order has been completed by a fourth unit, announced in May 2014 and delivered in March 2018. The fleet will welcome another unit due for delivery in 2021. At 362 meters long and 66 meters wide, this series of ships are is the biggest ever built in Saint-Nazaire and the biggest ever. Harmony of the Seas as her sister ships, Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas, is an architectural marvel at sea, with her split superstructure and the cruise line’s neighborhood concept of seven districts themed areas. She also introduces extraordinary « firsts » at sea such as an 82 foot-long zip line, a handcrafted carousel, 12,000 live trees and plants. The Oasis class also offers amenities that can only be found on Royal Carribbean, such as twin surf simulators, cantilevered whirlpools, an ice skating rink, the H20 Zone kids aquapark, and the Royal Promenade, an interior boulevard that stretches nearly the length of the ship and is flanked by restaurants, lounges and boutiques, among many others. This class spans 16 decks, encompasses 227,000 gross registered tons, carrying 6,780 guests at double occupancy and features 2,747 staterooms. Harmony of the Seas - Symphony of the Seas - C34
