• The From the Land of Kansas trademark program has the goal of helping Kansas businesses that grow, produce, process or manufacture products in Kansas. In addition we work with and support restaurants using Kansas products and retailers selling Kansas products.

• We help our members promote their Kansas products and also help with business development and marketing opportunities for our membership.

• In addition, the state trademark provides a way to make Kansas products easier to identify.

Agritourism: • Business must be a registered

agritourism operation with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism

• A majority of marketing, management and purchasing decisions are done in the state of Kansas

• Business provides an agriculture-based experience

Farmer/rancher Farmer/rancher: • 100 percent of the product is

grown/produced in Kansas

Restaurant: • Restaurant is Kansas owned or

restaurant serves one or more primary Kansas food ingredients – Note: franchises that are Kansas

based will be allowed in the trademark, others will not

Value added agriculture Value-Added Agriculture (non-food products): • 100 percent of product’s raw materials

are acquired from Kansas • 100 percent of the product’s processing,

manufacturing or craftsmanship is done in Kansas

• Social media: – Regular post features – Posts jump from low 100s up to 1800 views for some of our more recent posts. – Just reached more than 3,700 likes – Expanding Twitter presence and other social networks – Increase in website traffic.

• Reception event participation – be a featured food item in various receptions and events around the state that are

looking to feature Kansas products – Build brand awareness with Kansans and out of state visitors – Some events allow product sales on sight or donate to gift bags if interested.
