1. Main Summary of Role: To provide a professional accounting service for the operational activities of the RAFBF. To provide business support to the Welfare department and other stakeholders as may
be assigned. To provide a robust and responsive service to all stakeholders as a key member of the
Finance team. To work collaboratively with team members in making sure the Finance team maintains
excellent professional standards. To provide management accounting support to the Head of Management Accounting.
2. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Ensure that all rental and loan income is complete and recorded accurately in the accounting system by Transaction Processing Team.
Liaise with Financial Accounting team to identify and process any returned welfare payments.
Implement accounting controls through regular reconciliation of loan and sales ledger accounts, and deal with any issues that may arise.
Comply with the month end deadlines as scheduled and supervise the work of Transaction Processing Team to ensure deadlines are met.
Produce loan redemption statements to Welfare Executive and ensure that loan redemptions are processed correctly and on a timely basis.
Ensure loan reimbursements are acted on a timely basis and processed accurately.
Manage cost vouchers received from solicitors for payment. Manage and coordinate the production of annual loan
statements and interest capitalisation process. Monitor and maintain credit control for both loans and rents,
review reports and inform any non payments to Welfare. Deal with all loans and rental payment enquiries. Provide accounting support in preparation for, and during
audits. Provide cross cover within the team when necessary. Liaise with budget holder on regular basis to identify month end
accruals and understand variances. Assist in the annual budgeting process. Execute other tasks as requested by line manager from time to
time.

3. Developmental Objectives: Develop relationships with other business units specifically the Welfare team. Develop reports for loans and rents, improve or enhance existing reports. Interested in pursuing a career in Accountancy. Take on other specific tasks/projects as may be assigned.

5. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential Desirable
University degree, Part qualified accountant
Studying towards a professional accounting qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting environment with exposure to management accounting.
A positive and helpful attitude, sustained in a team culture.

The Trustees of the Fund have adopted a policy of risk management which accords with Charity Commission requirements. Risk management is the responsibility of each member of staff.
Suggestions that might assist the Fund in meeting its objectives in a pragmatic and cost-effective way should be directed to your line manager or the Fund’s Risk Review Co-ordinator.
Conflict of Interests
You may not, without the consent of the Fund, engage in any outside employment. In accordance with the Staff Handbook, you must declare to your line manager any private interest or voluntary/public duties which could potentially result in personal gain as a consequence of your employment with the Fund. Interests that might appear to be in conflict should also be declared.
Place of Work
You may be required to work on the Fund’s alternative sites from time to time.
