INTRODUCTION: Health is the general condition of a person in all

aspects. World Health Organization (WHO), in 1948, health

was defined as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of

disease or infirmity". Hygiene is the practice of keeping the body clean to prevent infection and illness, and the avoidance of contact with infectious agents. Hygiene practices

include bathing, brushing and flossing teeth, washing hands especially before eating, washing food before it is eaten, cleaning food preparation utensils and surfaces before and after preparing

meals, proper disposal of wastes ,proper drainage for sewage and many others. This may help to

prevent illness & create a healthy village.

PROBLEMS OF THE VILLAGE DEVARAHALLI

* Poor sanitary system.*Poor drainage system.*Poor waste disposal system.*Increasing of diseases day by day.*Lack of awareness among people about facilities available in the hospital.*Lack of nutritious food.

THE SOURCE OF DRINKING WATER.4. EDUCATE THE PEOPLE ABOUT THE NEED OF

HEALTH & HYGIENE PRACTICES.5. AVOID OPEN TOILETS.6. MASSIVE HEALTH AWARNESS CAMPAIGN WITH

THE SUPPORT OF NSS, NGOs ETC.7. REGULAR MEDICAL CAMPS BY DMOs.8. COMMITMENT TO CREATE A HEALTHY &

HYGIENIC VILLAGE. 9. HELPING THE GOVERNMENT BODIES TO

CONDUCT SERVEY TO IDENTIFY THE HEALTH RELATED PROBLEMS.

we develop a healthy environment at home as well

as in the society to lead a happy and peaceful life.

CONCLUSIONWe can know causes and effects of unhygienic practices .We can get knowledge about the diseases that caused by the poor drainage & sanitary system .By this project people of our village will get awareness about the diseases that spread from one to another.Our project contribute a lot to the society by giving information to the people about causes of diseases, spreading and effects of diseases.
