Hygiene @ the workplace

• We probably spend more time at work than we do at home so it makes sense to follow the same hygiene, particularly as there are more people to spread germs. Good hygiene in the workplace is essential for reducing the risk of being unwell.

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, or use a hand sanitizer.

Stay at home if you are ill, so you do not spread it to other peopleCover your nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing and

coughing, then throw it in a bin and wash your handsTry not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth, as viruses can transfer

from your hands and into the bodyMake sure shared cups, glasses, dishes and cutlery are clean

before you use them. Wash them in soap and water after use and dry thoroughly

Keep your workstation clean and clear of food debris

Hygiene at INDUSTRY

• Industrial hygiene is the science of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace conditions that may cause workers' injury or illness.

• Anticipate potential hazards• Recognize potential hazards• Evaluate exposure and risk• Control exposure and risk

Hygiene at gym

Do not share your personal care products with others.Wear clean clothes every time you hit the gym and

wash them after your workout.Take necessary measures to prevent athlete’s feet or

fungal infection on your feet.Avoid going to gym if you are sick.

• Buy a better bottle: Plastic water bottles tend to hold bacteria, the only ones you can be sure of are metal.

• Wipe, wash, repeat: Keeping your hands clean can help make sure gym germs don’t do any damage. After using each machine or set of weights, use the hand sanitizer.
