Racheli and her family moved to Riverdale in the summer of 2017 and were very excited to become Bayit members right away. Racheli teaches Tanakh at SAR High school and her husband, Dovi, is a pediatric resident at Columbia. He is also one of the founders of Indiewalls, an art match making company that helps companies like Hilton and Google buy artwork from independent artists around the world. Views from the Pews with Bayit members: For this Shabbat's drasha, we are

honored to hear reflections from Racheli Abboudi Barris, Bonnie Geller Geld, and Gavi

Wolf on their connection to Parashat Bereshit.

Racheli and her family moved to Riverdale in the summer of 2017 and were very excited to become Bayit

members right away. Racheli teaches Tanakh at SAR High school and her husband, Dovi, is a pediatric resident

Learning Service resumes this Shabbat with Yeshivat

Maharat Student, Livya Tinestit. Finding one's way around a

prayer book is a learned skill. Using a transliterated siddur, we will

gradually build a repertoire of prayers starting with the better-known

melodies and liturgies. The Learning Service commences at 9:15am

in the 2nd floor office past the kitchen and ends at 10:45am. You

may arrive as late and leave as early as your schedule allows.

plogging is a combination of jogging while picking up litter. As a workout, it provides variation in body movements by adding

SARAH LILY ADOPTION FUND: As part of our mission to strengthen families, and promote Jewish identity and continuity, The

Riverdale Y has established the Sarah Lily Fund for Adoption with the help of a loving family who wanted to pursue this important

path. The fund provides two $5,000 grants annually to help Jewish families being formed by adoption. Applications must be in by

INCLUSIVE BASKETBALL CLINIC: The Riverdale Y and Yachad are excited to offer an Inclusive Basketball Clinic for kids with
