have a lovely relationship and they treated me like their own child, not like some kid from a different country that needed somewhere to stay. They were always there for me, as well as my friends, which helped me not to get homesick. I am going to miss Australia, the weather we have now and the beaches. I will miss all the people that made the most of our stay and just the country in general!

On behalf of all of the International Students we would like to thank all the people that made our time here the time of our life. Thanks to Ms Naomi Bond and Ms Mandy Matz who we could always talk to if something was wrong.

Thanks to our teachers who accepted us as a part of their class and made learning so easy.

Thanks to our home stay families for sharing their life and home with us. And of course thank you to all our friends. We will miss you heaps that’s for sure! Don’t forget us and we hope we will see you again soon.

Thank you!

Farewell Speech We are from Germany and spent the last months at Henley High School to study abroad in Australia. We came here as International Students to improve our English, get to know the life on another continent in another country and of course to meet amazing people, just talk to other students in a different language and make new friends. We experienced a lot, found many new friends and we got to know a new life.

We didn’t know each other in Germany but here we could help each other find new friends and help each other out if there was something wrong. This actually gave us a lot of confidence, even though we knew we shouldn’t talk too much German or any other language.

Coming to Adelaide, which is so different from our hometowns, was exciting. We came here with mixed feelings. Of course we wanted to explore this new country and life but of course we were a little nervous as we had to leave friends and family behind for almost half a year.

I remember the first day, we were the only ones without a school uniform. It felt a little weird as everyone else was in school uniform so it was pretty obvious that we were new.

The good thing was that people were interested in us and talked to us, asking where we were from, how long we would stay and those kinds of questions.

I was nervous on my first day, because I was scared of talking the new language, talking to the local students and if I had to, I was scared of not being understood or that people found my accent funny.

But with the second day we looked like everybody else so we felt like everybody else. Especially in subjects like P.E., Cafe Skills and Drama where we are more or less forced to talk to others because you had to find out where the badminton nets were or the flour for the pizza.

People came to us during recess or lunch and said “Hey aren’t you in my class? Hey! How long are you here for? Are you liking it here so far?”

My answer? Yes, I could definitely say I liked it although life here is so different. When you read something about stereotypes in Australia, you find three things: Vegemite lovers – true. Open minded– true. Footy obsessed – TRUE!!! The German stereotype is opposite to that: Nutella 24/7, always on time, in love with soccer, but still very lovely people in a very lovely country, like the Aussies.

Unfortunately, our stay here is nearly over, and it didn’t feel like 6 months. Living in a host family was an amazing experience for me, here I had an older sister, at home I am the older one.

My host family and I got along very well. It felt like home when I lived with them, we

to study as, for safety reasons, we do not allow students to leave the school and then return for afternoon classes.

All senior school students have been allocated a locker and students need to have a reliable lock to ensure the safety of their property. It would be appreciated if parents could check that their son/ daughter does have a lock in use.

Parents have been most supportive of the school’s uniform expectations, in particular the black leather lace up shoes and the black t-bar shoe option for girls. Students who are not complying with this expectation are completing a Uniform Detention on Friday. Once again, we appreciate the support of parents in the provision of appropriate shoes for the safety of students in the variety of work areas that students experience.

HHS does provide a varied and challenging curriculum for all senior students as well as diverse co-curricula activities and we really ask parents to encourage students to be involved as this will enhance their enjoyment and engagement in school. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any queries.

Felicity O’Brien Assistant Principal (Senior School)

LOST PROPERTY

If a student loses any item or clothing the place to inquire is Student Services. Last year there were over 30 green windcheater tops, lots of single shoes, and socks etc in Lost property! The windcheater tops have been washed and can be claimed. Parents and students need to ensure that all property is marked so that staff can return the items to the students.

Congratulations and best wishes to the following 2010 students who gained an ATAR of 90+: Anh Pham, Daniel Gibbons, Bethany Scarborough, Hayley Prior, Pengyu (Hugh) Huang, Hanna McLennan, Peter Kitchin, Celeste McGregor, Sarah Sutherland Stevens, Nicole Osborn and Brenda Miravitchi. A special congratulations to Brenda Miravitchi who achieved a 20 in Vocational Studies and Celeste McGregor who achieved a 20 in Studies in Societies.

The school community also acknowledged the outstanding achievement of Anh Pham, the 2010 Dux of the School. He was offered a place in Bachelor Medical Science and Master in Optometry at Flinders University and has the future plans of also completing a Bachelor of Medicine. Anh has been a dedicated student since commencing at HHS in Year 8 and has been the top student each year. In Yr 11 he completed Yr 12 Maths Studies and achieved 17 and Yr 12 Physics achieving 19. We wish him every success in his career in the medical field. Anh attended a whole school assembly with fellow achievers and a special morning tea last week to celebrate their success.

The diligent work ethic of all the 2010 Yr 12 students was reflected in their results and we congratulate all students who gained entry into university and a range of TAFE courses.

In preparation for 2011, the Year 11 students spent 2 days last November

meeting their teachers and learning about the skills required for their Year 12 studies in 2011. They also collected resources which gave them the opportunity to begin their studies in January. Teachers have been pleased with the work and commitment students have already made to their learning and the Year 12 students have quickly settled into a routine of attendance, work and study.

The Year 12 Manager, Mr. Nick McNamara and staff welcomed the opportunity to meet many parents at the Year 12 Parent Information evening in Week 2 as we believe that it is most important for teachers to communicate with parents as they support their son/ daughter in their studies this year. In addition, this evening provided the opportunity to explain some of the organization and facilities that HHS provides specifically for Year 12 students.

The Year 10 manager, Mr. Jason Keep and the Year 11 manager, Mr. Graham Brook are pleased that the Year 10 & 11 students have also settled into the school routine focusing on their subject learning and their commitment to the school routines. This year Yr 10 students still have Care Group on Tuesdays to Friday but Yr 11’s must arrive at school at 8:50am on Tuesdays to Friday to be ready for a 9am start in each subject. On Monday all classes commence at 8:45 so all students need to be at school by 8:35am.

This year we have a dedicated Senior Centre for Yr 11 &12 students to study, complete research and do silent study or group work. All Year 11’s are expected to work in the Senior Centre if they have a study line so that they develop good work habits for their future studies. Yr 12 students are also encouraged to use this area to study. However, Yr 12 students are permitted to study at home in session 1 or 3 if they do not have a scheduled lesson. In session 2 they must use the Senior Centre

2010 was a very successful year for two Year 12 Dance students, who now find themselves in full-time Dance training. Konstanz Symeonakis and Maddy Smith are paving their way to careers in the Dance Industry through courses at AC Arts and Terri Simpson Studios. Konstanz successfully auditioned for the 3 year Bachelor of Dance Performance at AC Arts at the end of 2010. After his first few week of classes he said. “I’m really enjoying the course. Dancing every day is like a dream come true. After 6-9 hours of classes every day, my body is dead by the end of each week! It’s a lot of hard work but worth it. Studying at AC Arts is a great opportunity to work with a variety of choreographers in a range of styles.”

Maddy is balancing part-time University, full-time Dance classes at Terri Simpson studios and teaching choreography at Henley High. It is wonderful to have an old scholar come back to the school to work with younger students.

A School-Based Apprenticeship is a way for senior secondary school students to combine paid work with school whilst starting their career. Students commence a contract of training through a part-time apprenticeship/traineeship, learning competencies on the job and through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), which earns Credits towards their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). This means that a student undertaking an ASBA starts to complete the term of their contract of training for a trade based apprenticeship (usually around four years full-time or one year full-time for a vocational traineeship) while they are still at school. Apprenticeship Brokers negotiate the attendance pattern between the school and the employer. To make an appointment or obtain more information please speak with Tania Duff-Tytler, VET Coordinator or contact Chris Houltby on his mobile 0488 584 029. Chris is available on Thursdays at Henley High School.

Last Wednesday morning, the 2 reception classes from Henley Primary came to Henley High to work with the Stage 2 Child Studies class. Each senior student was buddied up with a reception student with the theme being ‘Kids in the Kitchen’. The senior students taught the younger ones about safe practices in the kitchen and also about healthy eating. The senior students were surprised to find that they learnt nearly as much from the reception students as they taught them. All seemed to enjoy themselves greatly and we look forward to developing these relationships further in the future. We would like to say a great big thank you to Megan and Deann from Henley Primary for their organisation. This is also for allowing our senior students to work with their classes.

Some comments from the performance: Ashleigh 9MA1 I thought the play was interesting and it taught me a lot about cyber bullying. It taught me to watch out what I do on the internet. The actors performed well and put it all in perspective. Taylah 9MA1 The play was very true and honest. Cain 9MA1 The best part of the play was when they went back to Reception because it was funny but also showed that bullying can occur at such an early stage. Paul 9MA1 I learnt how to ignore the bad behaviours of others. Luke 9MA1 The play was delivered in a funny way but highlighted a very important issue. Remmi 9MA1 The play was really entertaining and funny and it taught everyone a lesson in life.

The Hurting Game

On Wednesday 23rd February all year 8 and 9 students attended a live performance that took a daring look at the hurtful games we play to give ourselves a false sense of power and belonging. It was very well received by the students and staff.

The powerful production covered topics of Bullying, Harassment, Cyber Footprint & Safety, Rumours, Body Image, Peer Pressure, Resilience, Self-esteem, Social Websites, and Positive Relationships.

Two actors played the two characters that reproduced times in their lives that result in an explosive confrontation forcing them to realise that unrealistic expectations and peer pressure can lead to destructive behaviour.

The Hurting Game is an entertaining way to show students how ongoing negative relationships, at school and online, affect self-esteem. The show is action-packed, humorous and episodic, engaging even the toughest audience. Our Henley High School community believes

Each person has the right to feel safe.

Each person needs to THINK about the effect that their actions might have on others.

Each person needs to CARE for themselves and for others.

Each person needs to ACCEPT that we are not all the same. If you are concerned about possible harassment, please contact the school and ask to speak to the relevant Subschool/Year level manager.

Welcome to our new Year 8 students and welcome back to our Year 9s. We have approx 450 students in the Middle School who are well looked after and catered for by their Care Group Teachers and the Middle School Team who are:

Mr Cibich: Assistant Principal Ms Twaddle: Middle School Coordinator Ms Ambler: Sub school Manager of

Mitchell Mr Alston: Sub school Manager of

Oliphant Mr Winstanley: Sub school Manager of

Mawson Mr Whaley: Sub school Manager of Florey Mr Whitford: School Counsellor

We look forward to a successful and exciting year. Already we have had the Year 8 Camp, Middle School BBQ and laptop distribution, Swimming Carnival and SVC Induction with Sports Day our next whole school activity. In term 2 we look forward to our Year 9 Camp to Ballarat and other extra curricula activities which we hope will provide students with a variety of competitions on a Sub school basis. We encourage all Middle school students to embrace and support the activities that are being organised for them.

Some of our priorities this year are: Student learning, striving for success and

work ethic. Punctuality and Attendance Uniform Installing in students the values of

Respect and Responsibility.

If you have any issue at all please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Care Group Teacher or any member of the Middle School Team.

for their opportunity to participate in beach activities and team games.

As the week progressed the weather became a little more pleasant. On Friday 4th of February, Mawson and Florey were taking part in the Surf Safety activities at Henley Beach, while for the students and staff on camp they were looking forward to the weekend after what was a hectic week but most enjoyable start to the new year.

Chad Winstanley Mawson Sub-School Manager

Yr 8 Camp

What an exciting and challenging way to start the new school year! On Monday, the 31st of Janurary 2011, day 1 of the school year, almost 100 fresh faced Yr 8’s from Mawson and Florey sub-school congregated on the school lawn waiting to hear their named called before trekking down to Normanville on a 42 degree day to take part in a range of aquatic and team building activities over the next three days as part of their orientation to Henley High.

The Yr 8 Camp provides an opportunity for the new students to mix and socialise with their fellow classmates and teachers in a range of activities run by Wilderness Escape staff. These include snorkelling, fishing, raft making, billy cart making, beach sports and problem solving.

The students from Mawson (#1) and Florey (#2) participated with enthusiasm and excitement throughout the three days. For some students it was the excitement to get away from nagging brothers and sisters. However, they had to put up with Mr. Whaley and Mr. Winstanley’s constant reminders to put their hats on! Otherwise drill sergeant Whaley would have them doing 20 “supers” (sit-ups).

While this was happening down at Normanville, the remaining two sub-schools Mitchell and Oliphant were taking part to the annual Surf Safety program at Henley Beach Surf Club.

On Wednesday 2nd of February, staff from Wilderness Escape were preparing for the changeover. Mawson and Florey were returning home from a gruelling three days which included temperatures of 42, 33 and 36 degrees respectively. It was time for Mitchell, Oliphant and the new 9th Yr 8 class from Mawson which made over 120 students to venture down to Normanville

Work experience for the Yr 10’s at Henley High is scheduled for week 4 term two, 23rd to the 27th May. Students are encouraged to source their own work experience places. Work experience is a great opportunity for students to investigate the suitability of a certain career or industry in a structured and supported environment. This year, all students in Yr 10 are involved in the Personal Learning Plan PLP, a compulsory SACE subject, designed to heighten their awareness of their skills and attributes and participate in a career search project. Participating in the work experience programme supports the learning ethos of the PLP as well as providing students with lesson free days to complete the work experience.

There are cases where students wish to participate in work experience at a time which does not correlate with the above mentioned dates. If this is the case the student can arrange a work experience placement, provided they consult with their subject teachers and have it approved and processed through me, with the associated duty-of-care work experience forms signed. The Workplace Learning Agreement form must be signed by parent and work experience host employer and returned to the school by end or week 8 Term 1 25th March.

If any parent or student wishes to discuss the prospect of a work experience placement please do not hesitate to call the school to make an appointment or email [email protected] VET Coordinator or [email protected] Year 10 Manager.

Whole School News

In 2010, the Music teachers decided to provide our students with another opportunity to explore their musical talents by starting up a whole school Jazz Band. Students are invited to be part of the band, which rehearses after school on a Wednesday. It gives our brass and woodwind students the opportunity to play in a concert band environment and our rhythm section students an opportunity to learn more about playing in the Jazz genre. It also gives students the opportunity to meet other instrumentals from different year levels, provides extension activities for advanced students and fosters a climate of excellence and community within the music program. Last year we performed at both Lockleys North and Fulham North Primary schools as well as at our Henley Music night. This year we plan to broaden our horizons by playing at the Semaphore music festival, at school events and any other community events we can source.

1.1 LAPTOP PROGRAM 2011 YEAR 8 ROLLOUT In week 3 (Tuesday February 15th ) we suc-cessfully rolled out new laptops to the year 8 student cohort and to all new students to the 9 and 10 year levels. We now have all 8 to 10 students with access to an allocated laptop. We are very pleased with the take 24/7 home take up by families choosing to pay the “additional ICT levy” to enable stu-dents to take their allocated machine home at the end of the day. Further now all “daily use” stay at school machines have been configured and allocated to students. We continue to be impressed with how the year 8 students are taking ownership and using their machines appropriately.

To improve “customer service” this year we have made a number of improvements. They include:- A new HELP DESK AREA that incorpo-

rates a working space for “on site” tech-nical services that includes diagnostic and some repairs. It is an expanded service with an additional technical support offi-cer (Sam Watt) employed.

A “hot swap” service; linked to the establishment of the HELP DESK we have with ACER’s support provided a “hot swap” loan of a laptop for any laptop being serviced or repaired. It will mean from now on students will always have access to a laptop during the school day.

Upgrade of Media Services; this area has an expanded capacity to store and charge additional “daily use” machines.

A reminder for new families who have taken home laptops this year; it remains the fam-ily’s responsibility to secure the laptop at all times and as advised previously we are unable to provide insurance cover off-site. Please check your home and contents insur-ance to ensure coverage. In the event of any damage, loss or theft the school will seek recovery of the laptop cost. Students are also reminded of their responsibilities re-garding internet access at school and at

an adapted Stage 1 Mathematical Studies course to widen the ‘breadth’ of their learning options.

Vertical Intervention Plan 2010 Year 8 Dux Megan Saffell gained

direct promotion to Year 10 this year on the strength of her exceptional academic results and aptitude for advanced and accelerated learning.

Personalised Mentoring Program We assign teacher mentors to direct and

to monitor the progress of gifted students such as Ellen Swan and Rose Crocker, 2010 Year 9 Dux and Runner Up Dux respectively. In the same breath, our Technology Studies Department is establishing university connections to further groom the talents of current Year 11 student Marshall Tearle, who has a passion for animatronics, and boasts a huge following on YouTube for his ‘head-turning’ (literally!) robotic inventions!

We pride ourselves in assiduously encouraging our gifted students to participate in a wide range of extension activities, academic competitions, problem-solving tournaments and university visits, to further stretch their literacy, numeracy and scientific horizons. Even as we endeavour to constantly review and fine-tune our Gifted Education Program, we are persuaded our Program will doubtlessly benefit and enhance the total development of our gifted students.

Jeshurun Tan Gifted and Talented Manager

Here at Henley High School, we hold a firm conviction that Students with High Intellectual Potential (SHIP) should be formally identified, carefully nurtured and suitably motivated to achieve their maximum potential in all their educational undertakings. Accordingly, we have a Gifted Education Program in place which encourages our community of gifted and talented learners to find their niche, reach for the sky, and be the best that they can be.

In identifying the SHIP cohort, we employ an assortment of data, reports and diagnostic testing regimes to aid us in our deliberations. We collate the Year 7 data from our local feeder primary schools; we analyse the NAPLAN data for our student intake; we refer to teachers’ and parents’ recommendations; we implement a combination of online IQ tests, Raven’s Test and optional psychological testing; we profile the linguistic prowess, mathematical ability and scientific acumen of our students; we study and examine all-round competition results. In short, we engage in a rigorous identification process to ensure that it is as objective, effective and inclusive an exercise as can be. All teachers and staff at Henley High are committed to creating a learning ambience which stimulates and challenges our gifted students. To this end, all subject teachers are schooled in an array of teaching methodologies and programs, such as:

Curriculum Differentiation Individual subject unit plans are set in

motion to cater to the learning pathways of gifted learners within the classroom setting.

Recently, staff and students had a get to know you session in one of the courtyards at school. There were introductions, activities and snacks to help break the ice. Students and staff agreed that it was a good introduction and very welcomed. We all look forward to doing it again soon. The Aboriginal Education Team at Henley surveyed students to see how they were settling in to high school firstly and other year levels as well. We also wanted to know if there were things that we could do to support them to be successful. Some of the comments to come out of the event were:

I enjoy meeting new people. I like not having to wear a hat.

I like moving around to different areas of the school.

I like the teachers. I enjoy having a variety of people in my

classes. I like making new friends.

News Supported Learning Centre

It has been a very busy start to the new year in the SLC. It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome Mr Martin Aartsen to Henley High. Martin has come to us from the country, and has a vast experience working with students with disabilities in a number of different settings.

Martin is the care group teacher for SLC2 and is teaching Maths and English across the SLC.

We also welcome back Kath Wilson after a year’s leave. It is a pleasure to have her supporting the students in the SLC again this year.

There are 12 new students this year in the SLC, all of whom seem to be settling in very well. It will be a pleasure to watch them grow and mature over the coming years.

Students are well into their learning programs for 2011. A group of year 11 and 12’s are undertaking work experience at Phoenix each Wednesday. This will continue for all of semester 1. Some students will also undertake individual work experience, each with the aim of gaining knowledge of work in different workplaces.

Over the course of 2011 the year 11 and 12 students will be working towards completion of their SACE, with other students undertaking the PLP which is a compulsory subject within the SACE.

Teachers, students and their families and or carers and other invited participants are busy undertaking Negotiated Education Plan meetings over the coming weeks. These meetings are an important part of getting to know the student and their desired pathway both through school and beyond.

Sports News

The annual Henley High Swimming Carnival was again held at the Adelaide Aquatics Centre on Thursday, February 24th 2011. Student forms and payment were asked to be handed in by the Friday before the Carnival, so the numbers of 110, including 6 Stage 1 Sport & Rec student officials, were considerably lower than previous years. After unloading from the 2 coaches, our swimmers warmed up in the 25 metre pool to ready themselves to swim for their house and enjoy the morning’s competition.

Despite the smaller numbers, events were still well represented with House swimmers. As the day’s events progressed we witnessed some excellent swims from our elite swimmers and also strong efforts from all the other students competing in the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle events. Unlike 2010, when Mawson’s senior swimmers dominated a large number of events, races were very evenly contested and it was only in the final few relays that a winning team emerged. It was great to see the new talented crop of Year 8 swimmers and other students in their first year at Henley fully involved in the day’s events.

The morning passed very quickly and smoothly with some excellent House spirit being shown by students in the stand and inspiring organisational skills from our new group of House Captains. A big thank you goes to the Stage 1 Sport and Recreation students who assisted with timekeeping duties, the 5 Henley High School staff, 2 student teachers Kristen & Mark and the IT “gurus” Andrew Dodd and Sam Watt for the smooth running of the carnival. When the final results were tallied, Florey house was a narrow winner from Mawson with encouraging efforts from Mitchell & Oliphant swimmers. Florey House Captains, Sam Mayes and Courtney Lornie, gratefully accepted the Shield on behalf of their team at the Presentation Ceremony.

YEAR 8 SURF SAFETY ACTIVITY DAYS

During the first week of Term 1 2011, whilst half the Year 8’s were on Camp at Normanville, the other two House groups were involved in Surf Safety days at Henley Beach. The sessions were conducted by qualified instructors from Surf Life Saving SA and involved activities on the beach and in the water to develop skills and awareness about safe behaviour in and around the ocean. On Tuesday February 1st after meeting at the Gym and changing into their swimming attire, students from Mitchell & Oliphant walked down to Henley Square with their teachers and were allocated instructors for the day’s activities. The Florey and Mawson groups repeated the same procedure on Friday morning of February 4th.

Each year our new Year 8’s are involved in learning about the surf safety because as our school is situated close to the coast we consider it vitally important that they know about the dangers of living and engaging in recreation near the ocean. During both days all of the students learnt some theory about safety concerned with waves, currents, rips and beach environments. They were also taught some basic First Aid and how to deal with situations that may occur at the beach. The remainder of the time was spent participating in fun games on the beach and water activities with boards and safety floating devices.

Special Sports News

The start of 2011 has brought about significant change in the leadership structure of the Henley High School Specialist Physical Education and Sports Secondary School (SPESSS) Program.

Trevor Cibich, who has led the program since its inception is now leading the Middle School program at the school. His leadership of the SPESSS has seen the school recognised nationally as offering innovative, best practice programs for students. He has been an outstanding advocate and leader of the program during its 13 years at the school and we are extremely happy that he remains in the program, leading our Specialist Hockey Program and Certificate III course in Fitness.

I would also like to congratulate both Barry Hank and James Treagus for their leadership within the SPESSS Program.

Barry Hank has been leading the Physical Education and Sports Programs at the school for the past six years. His leadership within SPESSS has seen the school continue to dominate in various sporting fields, both locally and state wide. The school has won an amazing 14 sporting titles in 2010 and three Howard Mutton awards, as the best sporting school in South Australia since 2007. Barry Hank remains Sports Manager in 2011 as we strive for continued success in our sporting program.

James Treagus has coordinated the Specialist Sports Program for the past two years. His successful leadership of the SPESSS review and application process ensured that Henley retained funding from DECS. He also introduced our first interstate exchange with the Hunter Sports School in Newcastle. In 2011, James Treagus remains involved in the leadership of the program as a member of the SPESSS Executive and will coordinate the Year 8 SSP Camp and Exchange.

I would also like to thank Kat McGregor for her contribution to the SPESSS Program. Kat McGregor has coached our Netball and Basketball teams in the Specialist Sports Program. She has also been involved in the administration of the Year 7 enrolment process and the VET accreditation of the program.

Celeste McGregor, an old scholar joins the team as the programs Support Officer. She will be taking over from the duties that Kat McGregor led, as well as providing support for facility development and maintenance.

Finally, I would like to recognise Sandra Moran and our Principal, Liz Schneyder, who join the program’s Executive Committee. The experience that they bring to the program will ensure the school's program strives to remain at the forefront of Physical Education and Sport in South Australia.

As part of the Cross Disciplinary Studies course the students visited the Adelaide Crows during Week 3. Their first assessment task involves the students identifying a form of technological development that has had an impact on the prevention of injury within their sport. The Adelaide Crows talked to the students about the forms of injury prevention and the research procedures that they use at the club. The students found it a valuable experience and were lucky enough to have a guided tour through the Adelaide Crows

NOTICE OF FOOTPATH RECONSTRUCTION - CUDMORE TERRACE HENLEY BEACH

We have been advised from the Charles Sturt Council that they are planning to reconstruct the footpath on the western side of Cudmore Terrace in Henley Beach, from Harvey Street to Vivian Street; and the eastern side of Cudmore Terrace from Mitchell Street to the tennis court gate. This project will improve the appearance of the street and make walking along Cudmore Terrace much safer for pedestrians. The Council plan to construct the new path during the April School holiday period.
