designers and contractors.Capable of handling multi-channelsources, it makes use of a vastamount of data for the creation ofsound field patterns that aredifficult with conventionalprocessing systems based on field-measured impulse responses. Eachsound field pattern is verified andmodified repeatedly by criticalauditions. The result is that soundfields are reproduced mostnaturally, with early reflectionssimulated realistically. With theRX-9000VBK, moreover, theprocessor is compatible with multi-channel sources such as DTS. It’scapable of adding a maximumnumber of 100 reflections andalso adjusting three parameters ofeffect, liveness and room size.

3D-PHONICWith 3D-PHONIC from JVC, ittakes just two front speakers toenjoy 3-dimensional surroundsound. Dialog is fixed on the TVscreen as a virtual sound source,while the surround signals aremixed with the front signals forplayback on the two frontspeakers.

Low-impedance drivingcapabilityLeft and right channels for thefront are capable of handling alow impedance of 4 ohms. Thisexpands the range of speakers tochoose from, including “difficult”speakers. Amazingly, the RX-9000VBK and RX-8000VBKare capable of delivering the samehigh stereo power—120W—at 8 ohms and 4 ohms, thanks to thehigh-power output transistors,sophisticated devices and designs.

TEXT COMPU LINKThe more audio/video

components you own, the moredifficult it is to take advantage oftheir functions. To resolve thisproblem, JVC first developedCOMPU LINK and later AVCOMPU LINK. TEXT COMPU LINKis the third step in this progresstoward better ease of use. Thesystem is fully compatible with textdata carried by media like MDand CD-Text CD, and transmits thedata from component tocomponent.

JVC TEXT COMPU LINK showstext data (performer name, disctitle and genre) of CD-Text CDs onthe receiver’s display and also onthe screen of your TV. Togetherwith the XL-MC334BK 200-CDmega changer, JVC receivers offeryou tremendous convenience.

Title memory: you can giveyour own titles to CDs through theOn-Screen Display (OSD) usingthe remote of a receiver. So youcan even give names to CDswithout CD Text.

CD search: using the On-Screen Display, you can searchfor particular CDs in thechanger—by performer, disc titleor genre.

One Touch Operationand AV COMPU LINKOne Touch Operation means youcan make precise soundadjustments—volume level,equalizer response, etc.—sourceby source, and automaticallyrecall the customized settings eachtime you choose an input or tune apreset station. The AV COMPULINK Control System gets yourentire audio/video system—TV,VCR and receiver—up andplaying, simply by loading aprerecorded tape into your VCR. Itworks for DVD playback too: justload a disc into a JVC DVD playerand press the PLAY button to makeall your system ready.

Multi-Color On-screenDisplayImagine the convenience and easeof control you would have if youcould operate your audio/videosystem by choosing options fromyour television screen. That’sexactly what happens with theMulti-Color On-Screen Displayfeatured in the RX-9000VBK, RX-8000VBK and RX-7000VBK.As you operate the remote, menusand submenus appear whereveryou position the highlighter; youmake your choice or changesettings using the remote’s cursorkeys.

Enhanced COMPU LINKControl SystemThe Enhanced COMPU LINKControl System lets JVC receiversand other JVC audio componentswork together even moreseamlessly. For instance, whenyou touch the PLAY button on aJVC CD player or cassette deck(or on the remote control), thesource and the receiver areautomatically turned on, the inputis set for the chosen source on thereceiver, and play begins.

Its multi-room/multi-source capability allows two people to enjoy

different sources in two rooms—DVD (or CD) in one and an FM rock

station in the other, for example—at the same time.

Stereo reproduction inboth Main and SubRooms: all it takes is anadditional pair ofspeakersThe RX-9000VBK can supply twosets of stereo signalssimultaneously to two sets ofspeakers in different locations—one set in the Main Room and theother in the Sub Room. This is our “Play and Exchange”System: you can manually changeup to 25 discs exposed at the frontof the changer without interruptingplayback. To enjoy the highest performance from your favorite tape, the deck’srecording parameters must becalibrated (optimized) for that tape.Our TD-W354BK features COMPUCALIBRATION, a one-touch computer-controlled record calibration systemdeveloped just for this purpose. Itadjusts bias, equalization and level(sensitivity) to ensure flat response, low distortion and extended high-frequency response. Conveniently, thelast calibrated parameters are kept inmemory for each type (normal,chrome and metal) and for each of the double cassette decks.

Enhanced COMPU LINKControl SystemMost JVC audio components comewith the Enhanced COMPU LINKControl System.
