After sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the lido famous beach resort, the boat arrives at Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here you have 40 minutes for a visit to one of the factories, and discover the magic of the glass. The second stop will be at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace, but also for the fisherman’s houses painted in bright colors. The stop will last about 30 minutes. After a short sail, you will reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the la-goon. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remains as the testimony of its former glory. This stop lasts about 30 minutes. Our official English speaking guide will meet you at 11:00 am under the clock tower in St. Mark’s square. The tour will start from the heart of Venice, proceeding on foot heading south to Castello, still now a days one of the more venetian part of the town with a lot of historical and charming corners. San Zaccaria’s Square, a magnificent white marble lombardesco style church, San Giorgio of Greeks, San Giorgio of Schi-avoni and the Venice’s Arsenale, with his twin towers. From here, Rio delle Galeazze, you’ll board on a private motor launch to discover the hidden Venice from the water, the second prospective of the town. Along the small inner canals, you’ll arrive to Fon-damente Nuove, for a quick look the northern side of the Lagoon, the islands of San Michele, and Murano and Burano on the landscape. Again through the little canals we will be back in the middle of the town, on the most beautiful street in the world: the Grand Canal. Here there will be a short stop at Rialto’s Market, a kind of European souk, than on boat again to reach St. Mark’s Square the end of our journey.
