The use of technology in educational settings (schools, universities, trainging sites, independent study at home, etc) by the use of instrucional media which are all the devices that teachers and learners use to support learning (computers, television and other kinds of hardware and software).
The history of educational techno is marked by the increasing complexity and sophistication of devices. Technology

ss Easy-to-access course materials: Teachers can post the course material or
information on a website, which means students can study where and when they prefer and can obtain the material very quickly.
Student motivation: Computer-based instruction can give instant feedback to students, a computer is patient and non-judgemental which give students motivation to keep trying.
Wide participation: Learning material can be used for long distance learning and are accessible to a wider audience.
Improved student writing: It is convenient for students to edit their written work on Word, which can imrpove the quality of their writing. They may exchange their work with classmates to criticize and correct.
Subjects made easier to learn: Many educational and non-educational softwares are designed and developed to help students to learn specific subjects.
Differentiated Instruction: Focus on active student participation, promotes the development of personalized learning plans and students are encouraged to use multimedia components and to incorporate knowledge they gained in creative ways.

Although technology in the classroom does have many benefits, there are drawbacks as well.• Lack of proper training: special training is vital to ensuring the effective integration of classroom technology. Educators must have a good grasp of the technology being used.• Limited access to sufficient quantities of
technology: the quantity is not enough to meet the needs of an entire classroom. Also limited technology because of the high cost and the fear of damage.
• Time consuming to plan, design, develop and evaluate activities: technology Failure may occur during the activity and as a result, teachers must have an alternative lesson ready, a plan b. Finding quality materials to support classroom objectives after such changes is often difficult.
