Using the very latest high-volume scanning equipment and leading-edge software, operated by our team of in-house experts, Hobs can offer you a comprehensive document scanning service including, indexing, archiving and de-skewing features.

For even greater convenience and flexibility Hobs can organise a fully equipped mobile scanning team to work on-site with no need for your documents to leave the premises.

all our scanning procedures conform to british standards bip0008, bip0009, pD0010 – The legal admissibility and evidential weight of information stored electronically. This covers all electronically stored information under the Civil evidence and Criminal Justice acts and fulfils the requirements of inland revenue, Customs & excise and Companies House.




COLOur MANAgEMENT

Colour management is crucial to your design. it is the technology that ensures we achieve the colours you expect first time and every time, whatever the device or media being used.

Devices such as monitors, scanners and printers are not manufactured to the same colour standards. The result is that colours can look totally different from one device to another.” Colour management” means calibrating these devices so the colour always remains true to the original.

all our screens and machines are calibrated daily using spectrophotometers to ensure that “What you see is what you get” (WYsiWYg). We can even calibrate your pCs or macs to match our colour machines and plotters. as a matter of best practise, we store your colour profiles in our machines to guarantee high colour fidelity every time.

at Hobs we understand the impact of colour and how important it is that your designs are perfect when reproduced. CmYK, rgb, gamuts, Colour space- whatever you need to know about colour, Hobs are here to answer your questions.

dOCuMENT MANAgEMENT

Documents come in many formats and centralising such information into a single cohesive source can often be an arduous and time consuming task. electronic document systems use a database to store a scanned copy of your document, creating a search or index method for instant retrieval. You simply enter the information you require in a database query screen and the document management system then retrieves it in an instant.

The document management system can integrate virtually any kind of document from hard copy to electronically produced documents and images.

after a careful analysis of your individual needs, Hobs will design and implement a bespoke document control and project management system enabling you to communicate more efficiently and process information swiftly.

Hobs appoint a pFi co-ordinator who will work with you all the way from conception to construction. at your request, the co-ordinator will attend project meetings and advise all partners on best-practise for achieving the desired results. all reprographics requirements will be discussed in detail relating to every stage of the bid.

When pFi projects are in progress, we operate a 24/7 service to satisfy your needs and even surpass expectations. Hobs senior management teams supervise the entire project, working closely with the client to ensure the bid runs smoothly and dead lines are met.

COMPuTEr FOrENSiCS

With most business information now electronically stored, data collection is a crucial stage of the disclosure process. Computer forensics is the technological, systematic inspection of computer systems and their contents for digital evidence. Computer forensics requires specialised expertise that goes beyond the normal data collection and preservation techniques available to end-users or system support personnel. With recent case law in mind (earles v barclays), the complexity and cost of obtaining electronically stored information is no longer a hindrance to the production of data.

Hobs legal Docs has in place a system for the analysis, extraction and preservation of data so that it is acceptable as evidence in court. Hobs legal Doc offers a flexible team of forensics specialists, along with strategic partners, who can be mobilised swiftly and work globally.

The process involves investigating computer systems to determine data relevance. We investigate data storage devices; these include hard drives, portable data devices, (Usb Drives, external drives) mobile phones etc. as well as the obvious extraction of documents from folders from pCs, we are able to find and restore deleted files and logs.
