Plot summary Stanley Yelnats was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. His family had been cursed because of his great-great-grandfather, for breaking a promise to a gypsy. Stanley got sent to Camp Green Lake, for a crime he did not commit. He was there with 6 other boys in group D, forced to dig holes everyday that should supposedly build your character, but Stanley eventually realizes that they are digging these holes because The Warden is searching for something..
