“Pastor’s Weekend Message” The New Evangelization Today at Holy Family -
“Before man are life and death, whichever he chooses shall be given him” Sirach (15:15-20)
The Sacrament of Marriage is a beautiful instituted sign of love. Married love calls forth all individual spouses to live out their life long commitment in Christ and also placed in one another. Today’s Sunday readings and on this St. Valentine’s Day weekend, we are all encouraged to keep the promises and vows of each sacrament received. God’s covenant is alive when marriage is between a man and a woman. All people and events are a miracle in God’s plan of salvation. God’s personal call and individual invitation to encounter him seeks our response in saying ‘yes’ to life and ‘no’ to death. The Gospel news calls us to choose life and not death. Accepting that “love” is an acceptance of our commitment and God’s blessings. Love gives life especially through the different sacraments we have received. It is a call to live life more positively and fully truthful. May your Christian calling to live a life of ‘holiness and truth’ be a sacramental sign for all those who are part of our lives. “Mensaje Pastoral del Parroco” La Nueva Evangelización hoy en la Sagrada Familia - “Delante del hombre están la muerte y la vida; le será dado lo que el escoja” Eclesiástico (15, 16-21) El Sacramento del Matrimonio es un seño instituido, lindo y precioso, como señal sobresaliente del amor. El amor de casados llama a todo esposo e individuo a vivir toda su vida en entrega total a Cristo y también que este sea correspondido entre ambos - el uno y el otro. El convenio de Dios está vivo cuando el matrimonio es entre un hombre y una mujer. La Alianza es vida de Dios cuando se vive en el matrimonio es entre un hombre y una mujer. Hoy las lecturas dominicales y también por ser el fin de semana de San Valentín, Dios nos anima ha mantener nuestras promesas y votos de cada sacramento que hemos recibido. El llamado personal por Dios y su invitación personal, pide una respuesta generosa al amor para nosotros dar y decir nuestro “si” a la vida y un “no” a la muerte. El amor es y da vida, especialmente por medio de los diferentes sacramentos ya recibidos y a los cuales somos llamados a vivir más abundantemente. Que este llamado personal, a vivir una vida mas cristiana, sea un encuentro a la personal a la “santidad” y “verdad”, para ser un seño sacramental en el mundo y también para todos aquellos son parte de su vida. Se recuerda a los fieles que cualquier persona que este enferma o necesite cuidar a alguien que esta enfermo esta eximida de la obligación de asistir a Misa. Bishop Cotta has made certain recommendations and the following rules will take effect until he considers it wise to return to usual practice.

▪ The faithful are encouraged to bow down during the Sign of Peace instead of shaking hands. Similarly, avoid greeting with a handshake.

The faithful are reminded that anyone who is sick or needs to care for someone who is sick is exempt from the obligation to attend Mass.
