Holy Family Parish will be hosting a Span-
ish ACTS Retreat for the women of our
parish. The retreat dates are May 11-14,
2017. There are only 35 spots available
for this retreat. We invite all parishioners.
The registration cost is $130 with a $50
deposit to hold your spot. Please do not
let the financial cost keep you from liv-
ing this retreat as scholarships are avail-

World Day of Prayer for Vocations
Next Sunday, May 7, the fourth Sunday of Easter is also known as Good Shepherd Sunday. In 1963, Pope Paul VI
designated this day as World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Our parish will join with the universal church to ask
God’s blessings that may be strengthened in our own Christian vocation.
Pray the Rosary for the Priests in Your Life
When praying the rosary, offer the first decade for the priest who baptized you, the second for the priest who
gave you first Communion, the third for the bishop/priest who confirmed you, the fourth for the priest who wit-
nessed your marriage or the bishop who ordained you (or will so in the future), and the fifth decade for the priest
who will anoint you at your death.
LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
Does your celebration of the Eucharist ever transform you? Today we are presented with the story of what hap-
pened on the road to Emmaus. The disciples are simply journeying with Jesus, whom they do not recognize, talk-
ing about all that happened over the past days. They were quite bewildered as they did not know what to think
about the empty tomb. Each year, we gather to celebrate the Resurrection and many of us wonder, what does it
all mean? Jesus journeys with us every moment of our lives, yet we often do not recognize him. When we gather
each week, the word of God, the homily that is preached, and the Eucharist that is received all help us lift the veil
that often hides the wonder, power, and presence of God. Will you be open today to being taught, led, and
transformed by Christ? He is walking with us, eager to open our eyes so that we can see.
