Is it possible that just 25 days ago, we were in church, receiving ashes on our forehead, marking the start of Lent, 2018? And now here it is: we are starting the 4th week of Lent! Before you know it, this Lenten Season will be over. How are you doing with all the things that you set out to do during this season? Did you decided to give up sweets for Lent? Or watch less TV, use the internet less? Read the bible every day or start praying differently? How are you doing on your Lenten promises? Are you doing the things you chose to do? Or are you like me, and missed a couple of days of doing your Lenten promise? As Fr. Ray has so often told us, do not worry if you miss a day. Tomorrow is another day—— start again! Just as Jesus fell with His cross, He got up, and tried again! And so should we. I was sent the following message from a friend and would like to share it with you. These are not her words or mine, rather our good Pope Francis wrote them. Maybe you can try some of his fasting suggestions during these last weeks of Lent: Fast from hurting words and say kind words. Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude. Fast from anger and be filled with patience. Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope. Fast from worries and have trust in God. Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity. Fast from pressures and be prayerful. Fast from bitterness and fill your hearts with joy. Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others. Fast from grudges and be reconciled. Fast from words and be silent so you can listen. Weekly Offertory Envelopes March 3 & 4, 2018 Adult (55) Envelopes $2,291 Loose Collection $245 Children’s Collection $1 Total Offertory $2,537
