HERE I AM TO WORSHIP (Opening Hymn) Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness, Opened my eyes, let me see. Beauty that made this heart adore You. Hope of a life spent with You. Here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down, Here I am to say that You’re my God. You’re altogether lovely. Altogether worthy. Altogether wonderful to me. King of all days, Oh so highly exalted, Glorious in heaven above. Humbly You came to the earth You created, All for love’s sake became poor. I'll never know how much it cost To see my sin upon that cross.
CHRIST, BE OUR LIGHT (Communion Hymn) 1. Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to You. Make us your own, your holy people, Light for the world to see. Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light! Shine in your Church gathered today. 2. Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair. Your word alone has pow'r to save us. Make us your living voice. 3. Longing for food, many are hungry, Longing for water, many still thirst. Make us your bread, broken for others, shared until all are fed. 4. Longing for shelter, many are homeless, Longing for warmth, many are cold. Make us your building, sheltering others, walls made of living stones. 5. Many the gifts, many the people, many the hearts that yearn to belong. Let us be servants to one another, making your kingdom come.
Knights of Columbus
Dear fellow parishioners,
Holy Family Council has once again spiritually adopted an unborn child who is now in the fourth month in the mother`s womb. We invite everyone to pray for this baby and to save the date April 18, 2010 to
celebrate the birth with a baby shower and pancake breakfast.
Four Month Developing Baby - Our little baby now weighs 6 ounces. The baby has fingernails and eyelashes. The baby has its own unique fingerprints which will remain the same until death. The taste buds are working. The sense of hearing is developing and present at 14 weeks. There are no major developments anymore. Our spiritually adopted baby is already well-formed internally and externally. All that baby needs
now is time to gain weight and grow strong. What a miracle the baby is!
Congratulations to Ms. Theresa Gnutel, the winner of the Knights of Columbus 2009 Grey Cup Pool. The Knights of Columbus Council #8499
would like to thank all those who supported this fundraiser.
Keep Christ in Christmas coloring contest has been extended. Submissions can be made until Sunday, December 13. Please forward your works of art to Mr. John Nicholson. Prizes will be awarded on
Sunday, December 20th at the K of C family of the month liturgy.

Conception of St. Anna December 9th
Saints Anna & Joachim (Baba and Dido of Jesus) were childless for 50 years of their married life. Then the Archangel Gabriel appeared to them, each separately, and foretold the birth of a daughter. God had heard their prayers. They had always been very devout and gave one third of their income to the temple, one third to the poor and lived on the remaining third. St. Joachim lived to be 80 and St. Anna lived to be 79. In response to the blessing and the archangel's prophecy, they dedicated Mary to the Lord and presented her to be raised in the temple from a young child.

Our Holy Father icholas gives us a beautiful example of a living, active, and sacrificial love of God and neighbour. His love of neighbour is universal, all-embracing, full of mercy and ready to assist in every necessity of soul and body. St. Nicholas saw Jesus Christ in his neighbour and that is why he quickly and generously hastened to help him in every need. The Holy Gospel says that at the Last Judgement the Lord will judge us by our works of love and mercy. Christ assures us of this when He says: “Amen I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of My brethren, you did it for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)
