Fun, challenging night for footballA beautiful sky, some great OSU Marching Band music and precision arrivals by members of the U.S. Navy SEAL parachute demonstration team, the Leap Frogs, made for an entertaining evening despite the Beavers coming out on the wrong end in their game with Colorado. See a skydiver’s-eye view of the night descent into Reser Stadium at bit.ly/reserleap. (Photos by Bret Lorimore and Hannah O’Leary)

Carnival debuts on MU QuadBeavers playing like giant hamsters in their inflatable toy spheres, a huge blow-up slide, ring toss and many other free carnival games appeared on the Memorial Union Quad during Homecoming week as the OSU Alumni Association launched what could become a new tradition. The hamster spheres were among the most popular attractions, but nothing caused a longer line than the availability of free flavored shaved ice, proving once more the ageless truth that free food of any kind is the way to a college student’s heart. Meanwhile, the Memorial Union Program Council pitched in with an accompanying celebration of Benny’s birthday, complete with cake and a photo booth. (Photos by Hannah O’Leary)
