ABOUT EOP ARCHITECTSFor nearly 35 years, EOP Architects has been successfully designing projects

throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky for both public and private clientele.

Based in Lexington, Kentucky, EOP has experienced steady, thoughtful growth and

established a downtown Louisville, Kentucky, office.

Rick Ekhoff and Paul Ochenkoski founded the firm in 1981; Richard Polk joined

shortly afterwards and accepted a partnership position in 1989. Together, the three

established a cultural foundation and core philosophy focused upon design and

technical excellence. In 2006, the EOP partnership was expanded to include architect

Brent Bruner and interior designer Chris Estes.

These values, combined with client diversification, an unwavering commitment to

client service and a passion for creative challenges, have fostered our success and

defined our reputation for outstanding design. EOP has received numerous regional

and national design awards, and earned the 2010 AIA Kentucky Firm of the Year Award.

Project types include hospitality, office, research, mixed-use, educational, health care,

recreation and fitness, residential and retail. Clientele has included both the public

and private sector and ranged from federal, state, and local government institutions to

Fortune 500 corporations and private developers.

AFFORDABLE, EFFICIENT AND SUSTAINABLE ELEMENTS

Some projects will pursue LEED certification; others

will not. Regardless, we make it a priority for each

project to integrate sustainable and energy-efficient

solutions. Energy costs are still on the rise; we can

help you capitalize on all opportunities for energy

and cost savings.

EOP led the sustainable design effort with Berea

College’s Lincoln Hall, the first LEED-certified

building in Kentucky, and Berea’s Boone Tavern,

recently certified LEED Gold.
