    Hostel Admission

    Note - All rights for admission of students to the hostels are reserved with the principal and the rector.

    1. Rector will be the head of the hostel. He/She will control the overall working.

    2. The students seeking admissions in the hostel should submit their application form to the rector within prescribed time schedule.

    3. While taking admission in hostel, the student should remember the following procedure:

    I. At the time of admission in the hostel the student & his/her parents or local guardian should be present.

    ii. The student should fill the specific application form and challan carefully.

    iii. He/she should meet the concerned hostel co-ordinator in the college for his/her signature.

    iv. He/She should go to the hostel office. Meet the concerned clerk for stamp & his signature on the challan.

    vi. Immediately Pay the cash by challan in the Bank on the same day.

    vii. Students should keep the 'D' Part of challan receipt carefully; otherwise he/she will have difficulty in claiming the refund of the deposit.

    vii. Submit application form & challan receipt in the hostel office & confirm room number on the same day.

    4. Hostel Fees for the year 2020-2021: (Student should pay fees in one installment.)

    Ladies Hostel of Khandesh College Education Society is a boon to the girls residing outside of their home for the sake of education. It is a kind of 'home away from home'. It provides systematic and comfortable environment, spacious and well furnished rooms with all basic amenities, disciplined environment, nutritious home cooked food and above all 24 hours Wi-Fi Internet facilities, which allow them to concentrate on their study all through out the year. We assures all parents that their daughters will be equipped with totally peaceful, homely and disciplined atmosphere which would provide them with mothers care, fathers discipline, brothers safety and sisters love.

    Note:- 1. It is Compulsory for all the students to record

    their thumb impression on the biometric machine installed at the hostel gate while entering and leaving the hostel. The parents wi l l be informed about s tudents misbehavior, violation of rules, coming late in the hostel and taking more than permitted leaves by SMS. (For Girls only.)

    2. For meritorious, scholar & economically weaker girl students, concession in hostel fees will be provided in city hostel (Swatantrya Chauk).

    3. A separate electric meter has been provided to each room. At the time of admission, the reading will be taken and if the student is using more electricity than he /she has been permitted, then at the time of leaving the hostel, the student will have to pay for the extra electrical charges.

    4. Hostel Admission form will not be accepted without the signature of the rector.

    5. Students must seek admission on the same day, on which the rector has signed the admission form.

    6. When the student gets admission in hostel, he/she must reach the allotted room, otherwise his/her admission will be cancelled and the amount paid will not be refunded.

    7. Hostelites who want to leave the hostel in the second term will have to inform (in his/her own handwriting) the rector well in advance, before the end of the first term. If he/she fails to do so, the deposit money will not be refunded.

    8. Medical check up of every student by the Medial officer of the K.C.E. Society is mandatory.

    9. Failed students & provisionally admitted students will not be allowed admission in the

    hostel.

    Hostel Admission Cancellation & RefundFrom the Date as Admission

    General Discipline in Hostel:1. Students are not allowed to change electric

    tube lights in their rooms. The use of electric appliances in the hostel (i.e, hot plate, electric irons, extra fans, coolers, heaters etc.) is strictly prohibited.

    2. Students are expected to use electricity properly. They should switch off the lights while leaving their rooms. Rooms will be allotted to students on the opening day of the college. They should check the furniture, lights, fans, and other amenities in the room.

    3. The student is responsible for maintenance of in his/her room, provided to him/her by the hostel authority. Any damage caused will be recovered from the students. Students should take utmost care to see that no damage is caused to hostel property, building, furniture, electric and sanitary fittings and any other equipments in the hostel premises.

    4. The cost of damage caused will be recovered from the deposit amount of concerned student. If hostelites have damaged the hostel property intentionally, then they will be held liable for disciplinary action and fine. If damage is caused by a group of the students then the fine will be borne by the complete group.

    5. The rector has reserved his/her rights to make necessary changes in the allotment of the rooms during the year according to strength of students.

    6. Each hostilite should have his/her own bedding, bed sheet, blanket, pillow, net, bucket, water pot etc. with him/her.

    7. Each student will be provided with a cot, table, chair, cupboard by the college authority.

    8. No student is allowed to keep his/her own private servant with him/her.

    9. Hostel premises is meant for communal living, residence and study. So no friends, unauthorized guests, relatives are permitted to stay with hostelites.

    10. The students are advised not to keep any valuable articles / mobile / cash money in their rooms. If they do so it will be entirely at their own risk. Hostel authorities will not be responsible for any loss of such objects.

    11. Students are advised to keep minimum amount of money for daily needs. Extra amount should be kept in the bank.

    12. Students in the hostel should not do any mutual exchange of money.

    13. Any kind of functions, get togethers, ceremonies, meetings, celebrations of any sort will not be organised in the hostel premises without the prior permission of the rector and the principal.

    14. Notices, Hoardings, Advertisements are strictly prohibited on hostel walls.

    15. Smoking and consuming alcoholic drinks, gambling or any immoral activity are strictly prohibited whitin the hostel & college premises.

    16. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who are found ragging the students, mentally or physically. (Rules regarding Antiragging campaign are

    available on the website of the college.)17. Students will have to vacate the rooms

    immediately within three days after their annual examination. Otherwise, they will have to pay Rs. 75/- per day as a fine. He/she will have to handover everything to the authority that he/she had received earlier and show clearance certificate to the rector.

    18. Students should behave in such a manner that the atmosphere in the hostel remains calm and conducive for studies and learning. They should be very careful about not disturbing others.

    19. Students should take utmost care to keep their rooms and the hostel premises neat & clean.

    20. Any complaint regarding hostel working servants or mutual disputes of any sort should be reported to the hostel authority. The rector will take final decision after proper investigation.

    21. The students should not misbehave towards public on the road attached to the hostel. If they are found doing so, the rector/principal can expel them from the hostel immediately without any pre-warning.

    22. Students can not change rooms allotted to them without prior permission from the rector.

    23. Hostel prospectus is a handbook, to be preserved carefully for the whole year.

    24. Students will not enter into others room or use things of others without their permission.

    25. The principal/rector reserves the rights for dismissing any student from the hostel or college on the basis of his/her misbehavior.

    26. It is compulsory for all the students to maintain register while leaving and entering the hostel.

    Rules regarding Visitors (Guests)1. Visitors are not allowed in hostel campus

    after 7.30 p.m. But, under emergency situations, the rector may allow visitors inside the hostel to accompany the hostelite.

    2. No students are allowed to accommodate his/her guest at night in his/her room.

    3. Boys students should not invite any girl in their room. Girls students should not invite any boy in their rooms.

    4. No visitor is allowed to enter the student’s room without prior permission of the rector.

    5. Visiting time for local guardians - Morning 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Evening 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

    Rules regarding Attendance1. Students should be present in their rooms

    between 9.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. They are not allowed to be out of the hostel without the permission of the rector.

    2. Attendance of the students in their rooms is compulsory. The rector will record attendance at night, between 9.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. The hostelites must be present or else they will be liable for fine.

    3. For permission to remain absent during recording of attendance or for going the student should apply in writing to the rector well in advance. The rector's decision will be final.

    4. When there is no college holiday, it is compulsory for students to be in their rooms. In case of emergency, students should request for leave from the principal.

    5. The hostelite should attend the cultural programs in the hostel. His/her absence will be considered as an act of misbehavior.

    6. If a hostelite remains absent from the hostel without any prior written permission for the period of 15 days & more, then her/his

    admission in hostel will automatically be cancelled without any intimation.

    Facilities1. Mess Facility: I. The mess facility is provided by the college.

    Separate and well equipped dining halls are available for the boys and girls.

    II. The mess is run by the contractor or the society. The medical officer of the college regularly inspects the meal for its quality.

    III. Cooking is not allowed in the room. Outside eatables are not allowed in the room.

    IV. Non-Veg food is not allowed in the hostel.V. It is compulsory to take food in the hostel

    mess.VI. Every student should pay the mess bill to the

    contractor or hostel office or pay by cash in the bank challan to be used.

    2. Health Care Centre : K.C.E Society has appointed a medical

    officer to check the health of students.I. The hostelite or his / her friends must report

    immediately about illnes /sickness/ accident of their roommate to the hostel authorities & the medical officer.

    ii. Every student can get free medical consultation from medical officer of K.C.E. Society.

    iii. If the student is taking any treatment from doctor, he/she has to pay all medical charges or fees.

    iv. For maintaining & regulating good health of every student in hostel, a special provision for total body check up is made available. This facility will be on voluntary basis & includes blood and urine tests, along with ENT care. It will be provided by expert medical practitioner from city at a marginal cost for the benefit of students.

    3. Security: I. The security guards have been appointed to

    maintain discipline of the premises, as well as, to avoid intruders and mischievous movements of the students.

    ii. The instructions given by the rector and the security guards should be strictly followed by the students.

    iii. No one will misbehave with the guards.4. Yoga & Pranayam: Soham Department of

    Yoga and Naturopathy is running the Yoga & Pranayam classes for boys & girls. Special concession in the fees is provided for the hostelites.

    5. Cultural & Industrial Tours : Students can voluntarily participate in the cultural and industrial tours organised by the hostel authorities. The cost of the tour will be borne by the participants.

    6. Internet Facility : The hostel has a full fledged facility of 24x7 internet connection. Girls are given access to the internet at bare minimum charges.

    Special Rules for Girls Hostel1. No girl student is allowed to be out of the

    hostel after 7.30 p.m. without the prior

    permission of the rector.2. The legal parents should suggest a local

    guardian for their daughter. The local

    guardian and the parents will be jointly

    responsible, on behalf of their ward, for

    observing all the rules and regulations.3. Except for attending college, girl students

    will have to ask for permission from the

    rector to go out at day time. If permitted, they

    will have to intimate about location of their

    visit.4. If the girl hostilite wants to visit her native

    place or relatives, she should apply in writing

    with all the details to the rector.5. It is expected that the parents/local guardian

    should contact & consult the rector about

    their daughter's progress & behavior from

    time to time.6. Visiting time for local guardians - Morning

    8.30 to 11.30 a.m. Evening 4.00 to 7.00 p.m.7. Mobile phone should be switched off after

    10.00 p.m. within the hostel premises.8. If any girl wants to join any tution or special

    class, the written permission of her parent is

    necessary. The girl should inform the college

    hostel coordinator about her class & should

    submit the written application to the rector.9. The students will strictly adhere to the rules

    and discipline framed by college and hostel

    authorities from time to time.10. The management and hostel authority

    reserves the right to modify the above rules &

    regulations from time to time, as per

    requirements, if deemed necessary, without

    prior notice.11. Male candidates are strictly prohibited into
