AustrAliAn Hot WAter Water heating is a thermodynamic process that uses an energy source to heat water above its initial temperature. Appliances that provide a continual supply of hot water are called water heaters / hot water heaters. Most of the hot water is used in the bathroom, followed by the laundry and the kitchen. Water heating systems tend to either be water storage systems (like the traditional hot water cylinder) or continuous flow systems (which heat water directly as it runs through it, rather than storing the water).
