HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?

AS Media

Page 2: How did you attract/ address your audience?

My magazine uses a variety of images which are all relevant to my R&B music magazine. I tried my best to have photographs suiting to my logos name; I wanted it to be edgy and hurried. I hope that I have achieved this objective of mine. Moreover, I carried out indoor and outdoor shots, but at the end I used the indoors images, because the others had reflections and shadows.

FINAL TOUCH: PHOTOS (PHOTOSHOP)

I enhanced my image with

the software called

Photoshop; I was able to

design and make the image

to perfection. Photoshop

was really helpful because

it allowed to me to enhance

my images. After the edit

my pictures had a huge

difference and it made a

positive change to my

magazine.

PRIMARY RESEARCH

In my primary research I

found out that people liked

black as their favourite

background colour, but the

final magazine had a light

grey background, this was

because grey suited my

magazine more.

Additionally I used other

colours like black and red

for my text.

MASTHEAD

The masthead plays a major role

in a magazine, customers usually

look for quality and satisfaction.

Therefore I wanted my masthead

to be rush and hurried. As a result

I came up with the name

“BRASH”; and this suits my target

customers.

FRONT COVER

My front cover has a main image,

masthead, tag line, headline, puffs,

text and other features. I wanted my

magazine to be flowing and eye-

catching, therefore I used a grey

shadow. Looking at my finalized front

cover, I believe that I have achieved

the requirements of my target

customers/readers.

CONTENTS PAGE

My contents page contains

three images of my model

along with the sub headings.

Throughout my magazine I

have achieved a house style.

DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD

In my double page spread I have used a variety of font colours;

throughout magazine I have used a variety of features; these have

planted a good design to my magazine. I was keen not to use a lot of

features, because that makes a magazine look too busy and heavy.

I manipulated my magazine by making sure that I met most of the

requirements of my target audiences. My magazine has a house style,

throughout the magazine all three pages have the same background

colour, and it has the same hasty style.

My article was an interview with Chantele, and it covered one and a

half sheet of my double page spread. The article uses many fonts and

many colours. I changed key words to a different colour because this

would catch the reader’s attention.

PRICE OF MAGAZINE

The price of the magazine is £3.99, I set this price

according to the primary research I carried out.

Most of my results stated that this price was suitable

for my magazine. But at certain periods of time I

could decrease my price in order to have more

productivity. So I tried to meet the customers needs

and expectations.£3.99

CONCLUSION

I am pleased that the majority picked R&B

because it was fun working this type of magazine.

My front cover, contents page and my double

page spread, all three pages met the needs of both

genders. Through the use of each effect and

images I believe that I have come across with the

right magazine.
