Here is a brief list of the media technologies that had been used during my production
This was a quick and effective way in which to present my research. Its been described as a storytelling tool for presenting ideas on a virtual canvas.
I used this method of presenting during my research and planning stages- for my film analysis. It was a effective use of technology as it allowed you to link
each information to another seemingly through the path tool- it was also very enjoyable to produce due to the creativity it gives you.
PreziResearch, planning and evaluation technologies
WixMy A2 coursework was entirely presented on Wix.
I like how my Wix account resembled an actual website making it easy for navigation and sharing to other people.
It has allowed me to add and alter images, the add function also included many more features from text, media and apps
SlideshareI made quite a few Slideshares on my research and planning process. It allowed me to create a PowerPoint on Windows then simply upload it
speedily. The fact that I can create it from my own desktop without internet connection really helped- this would then be uploaded to the site.
It worked effectively in getting my information down and going through each slide if needed, I also used this during my evaluation stage.
YouTubeYouTube was key in my research and development. I made an account in order
to upload videos and also view media related videos that were of interest to what I was doing. Production Meeting was one of the videos made on
YouTube. I was able to do a majority of my film analysis on YouTube and even embed the video onto my Wix. I liked the fact that I could target a certain
audience through YouTube
VimeoVimeo was also another video-sharing website. I used this to upload a some of
my voiceover videos and also my film analysis. I managed to include some videos from Vimeo videos already made, just like the videos on Production
Company Research page.
GoAnimateIt a online software that allows you to create animations. Its allowed me to
present in a very unique and quirky manner. Each character would mimic what you require them to say. It gives you a range of features to bloom your
creativity- backgrounds, voices, character, hair/face and many more. I thought this was a very great way to present as it very different to the other common
ones and it doesn’t allow you to read such text
ScribdI used script to upload word or page documents, it was a very orderly way of
showing my work. I used it for my script and synopsis. I would simply type the work and then upload it onto Scibd.
It was compatible with any document based software, it allowed me to see how many views I had gotten for each work.
Google SearchGoogle was the main source of information- it allowed me to get research
from such sections like my directors research and production company research. It allowed me to save images required for a number of pages on my
wix
SurveyMonkeySurveyMonkey is a online survey service great for collecting response and
feedback. I had made a questionnaire for the target audience and another one for one of the evaluation- another essential feature was the fact that it had a
section which allowed me to analyse the results. Each feedback was presented in figures and percentages so it could show a precise measurement.
CeltxConstruction technologies
Celtx is a media pre-production software, designed for creating and organizing media projects. I used this particularly for the screenplay- all the draft was constructed on this software.
It was very easy to use as it would make the scene heading and parenthetical automatically. It also consisted of a drop bar that included dialogue, transition, shot etc. which allowed you to construct
the screenplay effectively.
Final Cut ProSony Vegas Movie Maker
These are both movie maker programs- Final Cut Pro is compatible for Apple Mac whilst Sony Vegas is compatible for Windows.
We used Final Cut Pro mainly in school when we were required to edit our production meeting, focus group and feedback, this was efficient as the students were usually present
at school. Sony Vegas was used to edit a majority of our final piece, this was efficient as one of out group members had this already on his hard drive- so he could get access to it

Windows Movie MakerI used this software at my home to create a page in the
Writing and Development and for one of my analysis. I found this software much easier to use for simpler projects rather that the two previous as it had more user friendly functions
making it straightforward
Adobe Illustrator CS5Adobe Photoshop
Both software were used in conjunction of creating our designs.We used them in order to created the each of the logos, film review and film
poster. Both software's consisted of a variety of tools and functions allowing you to create without too much fuss. There was an ease of access as each member of my team had one or both of the software's already installed on their hard drive
Canon DSLR, Microphone Broadcast &Tripod
All of these items were used during the filming section. We did a number of test runs and experiments to give us a better understandment of the equipment. Each item was high
quality and capable to use, the microphone broadcast picked up specific sounds which we required it to do, the tripod gave us a more precise angle of shots and movements whilst
the Canon DSLR was key in filming the scenes, it was also used in taking a number of photos in various activities
Apple PagesWindows Word Processor
Apple Pages and Windows Word are both word processors used regularly for my entire piece. I used windows more frequently as this was installed on my at
home PC. Both software's were used to format a number of documents each stage and then simply upload it to the Wix account or embed it onto one of the
media technologies online software's such as Prezi and Scribd.
