Amish's Dad experienced the internet back in the 90's.

How do you think that the internet has changed since the 90's?  "Well the first thing that i have noticed, is the speed."

"The internet is so much faster now."  What applications did you use in the past, and

what applications do you use now? "Email was the main application." "America Online's

distinctive dial tone still resonates in my mind....” "Currently I use the internet for everything. My patients

are able to schedule their appointments online, and I read a lot about ”

"The internet has made significant strides."

From 2001 until today it's a long time  for us but a small for the Internet. During the years some battles began between the Internet and the other media communication ways  .Here are some examples :

Papers battle online news sites

David Reid Reporter, BBC Click "All the news that's fit to print" was once the newspaper man's slogan. Now, with news-junkies turning increasingly to the net for their daily fix of world events, papers are beginning to feel the pinch.

Larry Killman, World Association of Newspapers I think there is no doubt that growth in electronic media is

the future, but there is still a future for print.

Fabrice Rousselot, Libération I do think the internet is a problem, but it is also

the solution

But how really internet changed the way we communicate? Since the first mobile phone until today the changes are huge; from tiny mobiles with windows application to small notebooks to internet speed growing day by day; from mIRC to Yahoo Messenger to AOL to Skype to video chat

* Social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Flickr, Hi5. have allowed people to not only be able to communicate with their friends easier, but has also allowed people to interact and communicate with strangers from around the world who share something in common.*

Think for just a second : what's the first thing that you do after arriving in your room?If the answer is turning on the computer and logging on the AOL /Messenger then I've got  really bad news: you're addictive to Internet..and it's not a good thing Psychologists all over the world sustain that the desire of being online all the time enclose the freedomthe Internet should be used for everything that we need but also with limit, a limit that  we establish if we are an adult or the parents do if we are under 18/21 years old.The myth : being addictive to chat, surfing the web makes people feel lonely, loosing the contact with reality it's only available for those that even before started using the Internet had those characteristics; It is OK to chat if there is no other option , it is OK to send e-mail if you need the time on your side , it's OK to Google search if it's the only way to find out what you want; what concerns the TV and news paper it's an decision  that everyone of us has to make it because we know what's best for us and what we wantThe rule is simple: we tend to do what we see , so we need to forbid any PC games that contain damaging actions(fights, murders) to kids

One last advice : keep an eye on everyone

“As the internet continues playing a larger and larger role in our everyday lives, we must make sure that we do not lose touch with the real world.”
