How Officeworks helped create a flexible, healthy and inclusive workplace. Client: Checkpoint Systems, a division of CCL Industries, is a global leader in merchandise availability solutions for the retail industry, encompassing loss prevention, merchandise visibility and apparel labelling. Total office area: 1300m 2 Total personnel: 50 employees Project time frame: 3 stages over 10 months Scope of works: Complete furniture refurbishment of both Melbourne and Sydney offices, including desks, screens, storage pedestals, cable baskets, credenzas, board tables and chairs. Officeworks was briefed to provide business furniture options for Checkpoint’s Melbourne and Sydney offices, with the rollout to be managed in 3 stages. Key requirements included furniture that provided staff with the option to work siing or standing, configured to create an inclusive and inviting atmosphere. In addition to furniture selection, the planning and layout of the furniture had to make the most of natural light opportunities and maximise available floor area. Through a number of design meetings, Officeworks helped define Checkpoint’s requirements. These meetings included an onsite walk, and discussion covering the opportunities of the space, how the office functioned, and preferred work styles of team members.

How Off iceworks helped create a flexible, healthy andinclusive workplace.

Client: Checkpoint Systems, a division of CCL Industries, is a global leader in merchandise availability solutions for the retail industry, encompassing loss prevention, merchandise visibility and apparel labelling.

Total offi ce area: 1300m2

Total personnel: 50 employees

Project time frame: 3 stages over 10 months

Scope of works: Complete furniture refurbishment of both Melbourne and Sydney off ices, including desks, screens, storage pedestals, cable baskets, credenzas, board tables and chairs.

“A detailed floor plan was presented with a list of suggested furniture to select from. The colour scheme was also in line with our corporate colours.

The plan included back to back desks, L-shaped corner desks, task chairs, meeting tables, meeting chairs and custom oak joinery for our MD’s office, with desk, credenzas and a meeting table.

Once approved, the installation for our head office was scheduled over two weekends, to minimise disruption and to fit in with our business requirements.

We now have an up-to-date furniture fit-out, which maximises our existing space with a contemporary floor plan. In addition, each employee has their own sit stand desk for their comfort and wellbeing.”
