At Motlow College Smyrna Center, you can choose the course format that best fits your lifestyle. In addition to conventional classroom courses, Motlow College offers the following course formats:

Motlow College Smyrna Center serves Rutherford County and surrounding areas and is Motlow’s fastest growing center. The center has two buildings with more than 52,000 square feet of space which contain technology enhanced classrooms; nursing, chemistry, microbiology and computer labs; faculty and staff offices; a student success center; student study and lounge areas; a library and bookstore. Onsite staff provides you with assistance to apply for financial aid, register for courses and follow your educational pathway.

At Motlow College Smyrna, students are able to complete a variety of degrees and certificates. Whether you plan to go straight to the workplace or to a four-year educational institution after completing an associate’s degree, Motlow College Smyrna has a program for you.

• Online courses provide the ultimate convenience for self-motivated students. Online course offerings include general education and program specific courses.

• Hybrid courses (a blend of online and conventional classroom courses) are offered in business management.

• Weekend Warrior courses include general education courses needed for university path degrees and are held on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

• Adult College Express (ACE) courses are offered to busy adult students over the age of 25. They are accelerated cohort-based courses typically offered one evening per week.

Tennessee Transfer Pathways degrees may be completed at Smyrna Center. If followed exactly, the pathways also guarantee admission to most public universities in Tennessee. A student who plans to earn one of the TTP degrees at Middle Tennessee State University can go to Motlow College Smyrna for the first two years and then go to MTSU for the last two years with all credits transferring and a savings of at least 25% of the total cost of tuition. This attractive alternative makes college more affordable, and Motlow’s TTP graduates earn the same four-year degree as students who attend universities for four years.

A new Smyrna Center building is under construction and will be ready for fall classes.
