Costa Ricans call themselves Ticos and Ticas.
Costa Rica has no army.
They don’t really have summers and winters like the USA, but a dry season that runs December-April and a rainy season that runs May-November.
There are over 130 species of fish, 220 of reptiles, 1,000 butterflies (10% of the world’s butterflies are in Costa Rica!), 9,000 plants, 20,000 species of spiders and 34,000 species of insects!

Nicaragua

The national sport of Nicaragua is baseball, which is even more popular than football!
The name Nicaragua comes from a combination of two words, “nicarao” and “agua”. The Nicarao were the Indian tribe who occupied the shores of Lake Nicaragua when the Spaniards arrived in the 1500’s. “Agua” is the Spanish word for water.
Much of Nicaraguan food is based on corn. Cassava, beans and chili pepper are also widely used as ingredients in different Nicaraguan dishes. One of the most common Nicaraguan dishes is Nacatamales: Cornflower dumplings boiled in plantain leaves stuffed with vegetables

Honduras
Christopher Columbus discovered Honduras. And when he set foot on ground his first words were: “Thank God we got out these great depths!” Honduras’ literal meaning is: Great Depths.
The Bay Islands sit on the second largest coral reef in the world.
It’s completely normal to find blonde haired, blue eyed Hondurans on the bay islands. They are direct descendents of the British Pirates that came here over 500 years ago.
