PRESIDENTS REPORTHi all! Just thought I would give everyone an informal

report to let everyone know what Rivcoll has been up to

this session in regard to DE.

- Rivcoll has had a great interest into DE issues this

year

- We have formed two representative positions on

the board. Their focus is communication with DE

students by having a strong online presence and

to represent in such a way as to achieve for DE

students what they may not be able to do

themselves. E.g. We have approached lecturers in

person to tell them to answer their emails. More

- Residential Schools have been a big issue for DE

students. Services have declined and the services

that are there they no nothing about. Rivcoll has

been present during Res Schools to gauge

Student knowledge and satisfaction with services

- Rivcoll Senate Reps have also been pushing for a

Distance Education Subcommittee to look into

such issues cross campus
