e Time is flying by and winter is at our door. While we generally do not get the snowflakes or the frosty winter temperatures, we do get the holiday season.

The upcoming holidays may have different meanings for many of our readers due to their diverse cultural back-grounds and religious beliefs, but for all of us it should be a time to reflect on the year gone by.

It is a time to think about all the big issues which have occurred throughout the year of 2015, as well as the little issues that happened. It’s a season to gage our own conduct. Have we made enough time to spend with our

children and spouses? Have we reached out to our neighbors to lend a helping hand to those in need? Have we spent the time to be truly together with our par-ents, our family and our friends? This is the time to mend minor disagreements, to forgive and forget.

This is also the time to remember those less fortunate, to teach our children to share our good fortunes with our loved ones, as well as those in need. There are families right here in our communities who need our assistance. Help make the season brighter for them by giving generously.

And consider giving your children gifts they will cherish for a lifetime; the gift of love and the gift of giving. The holidays are the perfect time to teach your children to be thankful for what they have and to help others. For that is truly what the holidays are about.

Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year!

Sincerely,

Sven BudzischPublisher/Owner

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood hosted a 40th Anniversary Luncheon on October 25, 2015. The event featured a sit-down luncheon, music by harpist Charlene Connor, recognition of the found-

ers as well as a presentation on the Center’s history.Forty years ago the Center opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on

November 2, 1975 on Hollywood Beach. Sixteen years and many visitors later, the Center moved to its current location. The city-owned and historic Kagey Mansion in downtown Hollywood has been its home for the past twenty-three years. This newer venue allowed for the expansion of display space and the addition of class-rooms for the Arts School for youth and adult education.

The event was attended by multiple local politicians, many of the Center’s founders, board members, volunteers and guests, including City of Hollywood Mayor Peter Bober and former mayors Mara Giulianti and Sal Olivieri, State Senator Eleanor Sobel, Broward County Commissioner Beam Furr, Commissioners Peter Hernandez and Linda Sherwood, Assistant City Manager for Public Safety Mel Standley, Chief Development Officer Shiv Newaldass, former city

Commissioner Tommy Wohl, and many more inspirational and important people.Individuals and organizations instrumental to the founding and growth of the

Center were honored. Those recognized were the City of Hollywood, Johnnie Sue Glantz – Board Chair and First Founder Kagey Mansion with husband Dr. George Glantz, Francie Bishop Good and David Horowitz – First Founder Kagey Mansion with William and Norma Horvitz, Becky Hunkins – Founder, Alan Koslow – Board Chair and accepting on behalf of Becker & Poliakoff P.A. – First Founder Kagey Mansion, Barbara Marks – longest serving Board member since 1986, Sally Robbins – First Founder Kagey Mansion with husband Leonard Robbins and Sylvia Stoltz –Charter member of Center’s Docents.

Other afternoon highlights were the moving speech given by Mayor Bober about the importance of the Art and Culture Center to the City, performances by the young students Isa Alig (11), Sabina Alig (9) and Zoey Boyette (15) and Principal Harpist of the Symphony of the Americas, Charlene Connor.

After the celebration guests enjoyed their commemorative cookies which were generously donated by Hoffman’s Chocolates.

ws On Sunday, December 6, fiber artist and

former high school art teacher, Andrea Huffman will demonstrate fabric print-

ing and textile design on IKEA products. Those attending will be able to watch her transform table runners, window treatments and pillow covers into decorative pieces for home décor with her original hand-carved stamps. She will also exhibit original art works framed in IKEA frames.

After receiving a Master’s Degree in Art Education from Florida International University (FIU), Huffman taught art for thirty-one years in Broward County Public Schools with eighteen of them at Hollywood’s McArthur High School. In 2011 she retired from full-time teaching to pursue expanding her own art knowledge and collection. She learned how to use a wide variety of techniques to create one-of-a-kind artworks on fabric for both decorative and functional purposes.

Huffman has exhibited her work solo and nationally in juried and group shows. She has received several awards for her creations, including two Broward County Creative Investment Grants. In 2011 she was selected as one of only two Florida art educators for the first State Teachers Artist in Residence (STAR) program through the Florida Alliance for Arts

Education. This award-winning artist also co-curated

Fresh Design: Fiber Art in the New Millennium exhibit at Florida Atlantic University and con-tinues to share her passion for art through new teaching opportunities, including The Boca Museum Art School, Business for the Arts, Broward, and various other guilds and art centers throughout South Florida. She is currently a mem-ber of The National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), Studio Art Quilters Associates (SAQA), Surface Design Association, and is a co-founder of 6 Hands Collaborative.

The not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) agency, Business for the Arts of Broward, helps local businesses and their leaders to advocate and educate the public about the importance of the County’s art and cultural community. The Artist Encounter Series will provide local artists of different disciplines a unique platform to engage and connect within

the community. This program hopes to inspire people of all backgrounds, ethnici-ties and generations to enjoy the process and creation of art while enhancing the experience of visitors and staff through the common bond of art and culture.

Besides seeing this selected artist at the Artist Encounter Series, one can view her work at the Lee Wagener Gallery at Ft. Lauderdale Airport, and Everglades National Park.

It’s that time of year when St. Nick makes a stop in Hollywood to bring some holiday cheer. Many South Floridians who have attended in years past look

forward to this annual event that takes place the second Saturday in December at ArtsPark in Young Circle.

The festival wants to bring all South Florida com-munities together to celebrate the season in this jam packed extravaganza which continues to grow each year. 2015 is expected to be one of the best yet. The gen-erous sponsors and vendors have allowed “Christmas Near the Beach” to be free to all who attend.

The jolly fat man in the red suit plans on making his stylish entrance as always on a classic car led by the Florida Sunshine Marching Band. He will then head over to his beach house to take free photos with all his visitors on his sleigh. Those that visit will be offered a free raffle ticket and one family will walk away with Santa’s personal Christmas tree.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, to arrive early and to stay late. The South Florida style lineup includes bands, choirs, mime, drama, bal-let, flash mob dancers, a visit from the Grinch and a onetime rehearsal for next year’s attempt at a Guinness Book of World Record for the category of “Most People Caroling”. Two-five thousand people are needed to achieve the goal, and those interested in participating in the 2016 world record attempt will be able to sign up all night.

DJ Mr. E will keep the crowd energized between fea-tured acts and performances by Sensere, Josh Bramos, The Anchor Collective and Lighthouse Creative bands. This family friendly event will also have delicious local treats such as hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian ice and fried Oreos plus a Kids Zone filled with plenty of chil-dren’s activities for a real hometown feel.

Deena McDaniel, CNTB director/producer says, “The entire South Florida community will feel at home in Hollywood. Our city brings the charm of the season where our party is your party, because it’s like you’re joining me in my living room, with my closest 6,000 friends.”

Free raffle tickets will be given out throughout the night at several booth locations. Winners will receive a variety of prizes from local businesses. Visit the website for an extensive list of the contest prize list valuing over $2,000. This year CNTB is also hosting a community food drive to support the Open Heart Food Pantry. This organization serves 60-120 families each week of the year by supplying food and stocking 4 different loca-tions. Those that donate 3 cans of food will each receive a raffle ticket.

ws The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) recognizes

caregivers, hospital trustees and hospitals across the state who perform groundbreaking work by

improving quality and patient safety, making a signifi-cant impact in their community, engaging hospital staff and transforming care delivery with increased effi-ciency. Those who achieved these notable successes were recently honored at the FHA Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

“Every day, Florida caregivers and trustees work to deliver the best quality care at the best value,” said Bruce Rueben, FHA president. “The hospitals and lead-ers recognized this year have demonstrated innovative ways to impact patient care and their communities. While the awards ceremony highlights excellent per-sonal and organizational efforts achieved within the Florida hospital community, the Caregiver of the Year Award is designed to honor an individual who provides outstanding service and exemplifies a strong commit-ment to a quality patient care.”

Brijesh P. Mehta, MD, Medical Director of Stroke and Neurocritical Care in the Neuroscience Institute of Memorial Healthcare System received the prestigious Celebration of Service Award for 2015 Caregiver of the Year. His tremendous dedication to stroke prevention and his passion for quality care are what make him an inspiration to his peers, staff, patients and the commu-nity served by Memorial Healthcare System.

Memorial’s Comprehensive Stroke Centers perform among the highest volume of endovascular stroke procedures in the country because they have transformed

stroke protocols that deliver time-sensitive treatments and introduced new technologies and procedures. Dr. Mehta has made himself accessible on the phone and/or Facetime to local EMS en route to the hospital. This type of commitment to stroke care has made him a leader at Memorial. Under his leadership, Memorial received the American Stroke Association Gold Plus and Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus status. Dr. Mehta will also lead Memorial as the first healthcare system in the coun-try to launch Pulsara at a Comprehensive Stroke Center. This smart phone app facilitates rapid communication of stroke alerts for early activation of the catheter lab.

“I would like to thank the Florida Hospital Association for this award,” said Dr. Mehta. “While I would love to say that this is a personal recognition, it would be an oversight on my part if I did not mention that this is the result of the outstanding teamwork within the Memorial Healthcare System and the Stroke Program. I thank everyone including staff, ER physicians, radiologists, cath lab team members as well as the EMS team mem-bers who worked night and day with me to revamp our stroke protocols to develop the best outcomes possible for our patients.”

Prior to joining Memorial Healthcare System, Dr. Mehta trained for eight years at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, both leading teaching institutions for Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from the University of North

Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in biology from Emory University.

The South Broward High School Bulldog Band has been invited to par-ticipate in the 2018 New Year’s Day

Parade and Festival in London, England. This honor was given to select bands from high schools and universities throughout the United States. Roger Bramble, Principal Patron of the New Year’s Day Parade and Festival along with Executive Director Roger Bone and Operations Manager Lizzie Bone presented the band an official invitation to perform in a special ceremony in the school’s gymnasium.

London’s New Year’s Day Parade and Festival, previously called ‘The Lord Mayor of Westminister’s Big Parade’, began on January 1, 1987. The parade fea-tured about 2,000 performers, most of which were marching bands, and only had a hundred thousand or so spectators. Fast forward several years, and this event has grown to more than 8,000 performers, 500,000 spectators lining the streets and a TV audience of millions.

Those chosen marching bands will travel the 2-mile parade route starting at Piccadilly then through Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Waterloo Place,

Pall Mall Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and finally ending at Parliament Square.

The Bulldogs are under the direction of former FAMU Head Drum Major Michael D. Scott since 2013. With interests in marching, concert and jazz band pro-grams, Scott has the ability to teach and grow these areas with his band members. Scott’s enthusiasm is contagious to his students and those that watch. His dedica-tion and encouragement have led the students to receive superior performance ratings in competitions.

“The band’s success does not depend on how many correct notes are played or how many correct steps are taken. It depends of how much they grow as musicians and as people,” says Scott. “It depends on whether or not they have a positive impact on the group. It depends on what they take from the experience of being in this group when they leave.”

The South Broward High School Marching Band is a Class 5a band with over 150 members including a color guard. The philosophy of the program is three-part: to support the school and the football team, to promote musical growth and to develop character, integrity and responsibility by being part of a team. Although competition is important, the group is motivated to continue improving upon previ-ous performances both on individual levels and as a group. The band and its color guard regularly perform at local events, parades, football games and sanctioned competitions.

s Linda Gancitano, Driftwood Middle School Academy of Health and Wellness Physical

Education/Health and Wellness Magnet Teacher and Green Team Coordinator, was named the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) Florida Teacher of the Year.

The SHAPE Florida Teacher of the Year program recognizes the very best educators in the state.

These outstanding teachers in physical education, school health education, dance education and adapted physical education at the elementary, middle and high school levels were recently honored at the SHAPE Florida Convention in St. Pete Beach.

“I feel honored for being recognized as the SHAPE Florida Teacher of the Year,” said Gancitano. “I know in my heart that physical education and playing sports has helped so many students learn discipline, confidence, team work, leadership and perseverance. I’m grateful to be a part of that.”

This award-winning teacher has been an educator for 25 years with twenty-three being at Driftwood Middle. During her career so far she has also received recognition as a Florida Green School Teacher of the Year, Driftwood Middle School

Teacher of the Year and Broward County Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Gancitano knew she always wanted to be a teacher, as her inspiration was

her father who was also a teacher and a Broward County principal. She grew up always loving athletics, so combing both was a natural assumption that one day she would be able to do both. Most of her academic career has always been in Physical Education with many different components of Health and Wellness.

Prior to working as an educator, Gancitano grew up in Coral Springs and was the first girl to play on the high school boys’ soccer team at Coral Springs High School. She then went on to become a collegiate soccer player at the University of

Central Florida where she received a soc-cer scholarship. This All-American soccer star received many accolades including the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) MVP and the Olympic Festival MVP. However, her greatest accomplishment was playing on the first-ever U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

When she’s not in the classroom or on the field, Gancitano can be found enjoy-ing nature, meditating and exercising.

“Knowing that I get to make a difference in the world inspires me every day,” says Gancitano. “I love to create new initiatives that will raise awareness for the environ-ment and educate people in making health-ier decisions for themselves and the earth.”

Seth B. Goldsmith, a long time Emerald Hills resident, proves that age is just a number. This soon-to-be 75 year old is not your typical South

Florida retiree who can be found on the greens of the local golf course. Instead, Goldsmith may be found in the gym where he works out 6 days a week, at Memorial Regional Medical Center where he volun-teers weekly with his wife Wendy, in the woodworking shoppe with his mentor, Rabbi Goldenholtz of Temple Sinai, in a classroom at the JCC or synagogue learn-ing, at the Jewish Federation Community Foundation volunteering or in front of his computer where he is drafting his 21st book.

There’s no stopping this former professor of Tulane and Columbia Universities and the University of

Massachusetts at Amherst where he still holds the Professor Emeritus title. Always ambi-tious, when just 27 years old he returned to school to obtain his doctorate

and then returned again at the age of 43 to become an attorney. During his 32 year academic career he made it a practice to teach one new and different course. His desire to constantly grow intellectually and spiritually is how he finds the time to do all that he does.

Each week at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Goldsmith and his wife bring laughter, magic and

song. His wife, Wendy Benjamin-Goldsmith, serves as a volunteer hospital chaplain while Goldsmith clowns around with his personal sidekick and puppet, Dr. Nudnick. Visiting patients in the oncology ward provide a memorable and soul-satisfying experience for both of them.

These daily adventures are what have inspired Goldsmith to write and become an accomplished author. He recently completed his 20th book, but yet his first fictional one. The Rabbi of Resurrection Bay is Goldsmith’s first novel which required three years

of writing and research. He was able to spend time in Alaska where the story takes place, and translate his real experiences into the book giving his readers a real taste of The Last Frontier.

“This novel showcases the importance of healing and love,” says Goldsmith. “The book presents an intriguing blend of history, theology, and romance and its relationship to loss, redemption, reconciliation, and spirituality.”

This energetic and inspiring individual is already starting the sequel and has no plans on slowing down, especially when he hits the slopes for the 56th year.

Downtown Hollywood is known as one of South Florida’s vibrant arts, music and entertainment areas. So what better place to install a large-

scale black-and-white mural commemorating Broward County’s centennial and the City’s 90th birthday. The Inside Out Downtown Hollywood mural project,

“Celebrating Hollywood Creatives” was conceptual-ized and designed by DHMP project manager Jill C. Weisberg.

The project, inspired by Parisian street artist JR, has already garnered international attention. JR uses his camera to show the world its true face by pasting images of human faces across massive canvases. This canvas doesn’t have to be a traditional artist one either. A two-story building in the downtown historic district like the one located at 1740 S. Young Circle right across from ArtsPark and steps away from the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood makes for a perfect one.

The photo portraits adorning the wall of the struc-ture owned and managed by Downtown Hollywood based developer, MG3 Hollywood LLC, reflect the expressions of close to 250 local individuals and measure 36 inches by 53 inches each. Participants ranged in age from 6 month old babies to seniors in their eighties. Over 200,000 people from more than 180 countries have taken part in the Inside Out project since its inception in 2007.

“All types of creatives participated, from art-ists, crafters, writers, dancers, to creative business people, activists, photographers, and local actors and musicians,” said Jill Weisberg, art specialist/project manager of the Hollywood CRA’s Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. Weisberg also said the response to Inside Out Downtown Hollywood, which was organized by Broward 100, the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the Art

and Culture Center, was “fantastic.”Broward 100 is one of the largest participating

organizations in the global art project. Installations have appeared on walls, sidewalks, streets, skyscrap-ers and historic buildings in countries all over the world. Broward is proud to showcase the human spirit of its residents and hard-working community groups as it tells its stories to those that visit.

For information on Downtown Hollywood events or businesses, call the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) at 954-924-2980 or visit www.hollywoodcra.org. To learn more about the Broward 100 Inside Out project, visit www.broward.org/Broward100/InsideOut or email [email protected].

The Value of Fat in Cosmetic SurgeryBy ChaRles a. Messa, iii, M.D., F.a.C.s.

The future of plastic surgery lies in stem cell science and optimization of fat grafting for soft tissue augmentation. For years, patients

focused on eliminating fat. Today, fat (or adipose) cells are utilized for restoration of soft tissue vol-ume loss that occurs with aging.

Recent advancements in stem cell isolation have led to the application of stem cell enriched fat grafts. A fat transfer involves harvesting a patient’s own fat cells through a lipo-aspiration procedure, then separating the fat cells from the accompanying serum into a pure fat cell graft for transfer to the face, body, or breasts to restore soft tissue volume.

Research has shown that when fat cells are enriched with stem cells to form culture expanded adipose desired stem cells there is a higher quantity and quality of newly formed adipose and connective tissue. With this tech-nique, the amount of fat which survives after a lipofilling procedure improves to 80 – 90% with more predictable and long lasting results. Fat cells survive in the range of 50 – 75% with present tech-niques requiring over correction of the soft tissue defect to ensure proper enhancement.

The term “stem cell” when used in advertisements for facelifts and hair transplants is not applicable, because stem cells haven’t been isolated clinically for these procedures. Using the term “stem cell facelifts” is an attempt by the advertiser to mislead patients into thinking they are receiving a new cutting edge procedure. Scientifically, fat cells do con-tain immature stem cells, as well as platelet rich plasma, which have a higher portion of stem cells than plasma alone. When fat is injected into the face, theoretically a small concentration of stem cells may be present in the newly grafted fat. For buttock enhancement, autologous fat transfer procedure has become the procedure of choice to improve size, shape, and lifting of the buttocks.

In recent years, fat grafts have been used in breast reconstruction proce-dures, both for post-mastectomy reconstruction and post breast augmentation contour irregularities. Autologous fat grafting procedures are being utilized for primary breast augmentation more often for women who desire a small increase in breast size and fullness. The technique is still being studied to determine its long-term effects, including issues with mammography and sub-sequent breast cancer detection. The techniques for maximizing results in fat transfer have evolved over the past several years. With ongoing research and clinical application, fat will be used universally for soft tissue augmentation and become the gold standard for such procedures.

t Spider veins are more than just a cosmetic issue, they sometimes indicate a problem that we might not think have anything to

do with veins. It is estimated that up to 40% of the world’s population suffers from varicose veins in various forms. In about 50% of the cases, cosmetic vein issues are often a sign of treatable underlying circulation issues. The development of varicose veins is often the first sign of venous insufficiency, and this can progress to more serious conse-quences of chronic venous insufficiency including swelling, skin changes, and ulceration. Many people do not know, however, that congestive

heart failure and varicose veins are often mistaken for one another. While vein symptoms often manifest themselves cosmetically, they can

be and are often part of a greater circulatory problem. As a Board Certified Cardiovascular Disease Specialist, our understanding of optimizing the circulation makes us uniquely qualified to help with venous issues. The leg swelling that is often considered to be a problem with the heart or blood pressure is often just veins underneath the skin that have failed to work properly. Symptoms often associated with vein disease include leg pain, discoloration, heavi-ness, swelling, throbbing, itching, restless leg syndrome, cramping, burning and fatigue. These problems make it difficult to sit or stand for long periods of time, which in turn may affect a person’s activity level and quality of life.

Vein disease is a progres-sive disease, so symptoms will worsen if left untreated and will require more extensive treatment in the future. Left untreated, varicose veins will increase in size and number. Symptoms may worsen and can lead to leg swelling, chronic skin changes such as dermatitis and discoloration – and in severe cases, non-healing ulcerations. These problems make it difficult to sit or stand for long periods of time, which in turn may affect a person’s activity level and quality of life. Varicose veins may also indicate a critical blockage in deeper veins, a condition called deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, that can be life threatening. Consequently, proper medical evaluation and treatment of varicose veins is important.

In addition to the aching in the legs caused by this serious condition, there is also a psychological toll that stems from the appearance of these unsightly veins. Those that suffer from this condition are often too embarrassed and self-conscious to show their legs, which has a tremendous effect on their life-style and overall daily enjoyment of life. If you are one of those people that have you stopped wearing skirts, shorts or going to the beach, you no longer have to be one of these people who is held prisoner to varicose veins. Through a relatively simple procedure, using the latest, cutting edge technol-ogy, in very little time, you can greatly reduce the symptoms and source of varicose veins.

Signs & Symptoms of Vein DiseaseBy DR. aRiel soFFeR, M.D., FaCC

Diet and weight loss among Americans represent a multibillion dollar industry. Approximately one-third of Americans are

considered obese. Obesity has been associated with multiple disorders such as type-2 diabetes that may cause disability or premature death. In addition, there are other causes of temporary weight gain such as pregnancy. Regardless of the cause, weight gain can have an effect on the skin.

The treatment options for obesity range from simple diet and exercise programs, to medical management with prescription medication, to more extreme cases of surgical manipulation of the stomach. Over 100,000 Americans per year have

some sort of bariatric surgery to treat extreme weight gain.Patients sometimes think that liposuction is a treatment to remove large

volumes of fat. Although there are some who advocate large volume liposuc-tion surgery, it is generally not considered a weight-loss tool. Liposuction is best used to fine-tune targeted areas for body contouring. Regardless of the method, weight loss is a great accomplishment that leads to marked improve-ment in overall health and well-being.

The Extra Skin A significant loss of weight will typically also have

an impact on the individual’s skin. The exact nature and configuration of how the skin responds to weight loss is determined by multiple factors that affect elas-ticity. Among these are age, genetics, smoking, and even multiple up-and-down changes in weight, so-called “yo-yo” dieting. Generally, younger, healthier patients with a shorter period of obesity fare best with respect to skin shrinkage. Nevertheless, the overall improvement in well-being from weight-loss cannot be overestimated. I advise patients to consider the plastic surgery procedures to address the extra skin problem as part of the reward for the great accom-plishment of improving their health.

Treatment OptionsThe plastic surgery options for trimming extra skin

following weight-loss are many. The exact pattern of extra skin is unique to each individual. Hanging skin after weight loss can occur literally from head to toe. Common areas include the neck, breasts, arms, belly, and thighs. Each area requires a thorough discussion with an experienced plastic surgeon to discuss the risks, benefits, and scarring associated with the procedures.

One frequent misconception is that the weight-loss surgery was the hard part so now the plastic surgery must be easy, right? Wrong! Patients often make the mistake of trying to do too many procedures in too short a period of time. The plastic surgery procedures to remove areas of extra skin are usually associated with lengthy incisions and large wounds that require adequate healing, so each operation requires careful consideration. Staging procedures is best, although some natural combinations, such as breast lift and tummy tuck, can be done safely together.

Extra skin following weight loss can be successfully removed by an experi-enced surgeon and a qualified anesthetist in a safe facility. Patients who view their body restoration as an ongoing work in progress can proceed safely with very gratifying results.

Dr. Perez has been selected among Castle Connolly/U.S. News and World Report’s America’s Top Doctors. He was selected as one of only six plastic surgeons to participate as an FDA principal investigator in a tummy tuck study for Baxter Bioscience. Dr. Perez has lectured interna-tionally and been featured as a plastic surgery expert for major media outlets. Surgery is performed in an ambulatory surgical center with physician anesthesiologists.
