    Its a sad fact that draconian and everharsher speeding laws (and not juston these shores) do nothing to help a

    hyperbikes cause. The throttle goes bothways, true, but would you really want one ofthese to sit in average-speed checks for mostof its life? Unless youve ridden or owned oneyou have no idea how easy it is to creep over

    limits by far more than a mph or 30. And,of course, they take a little more experience

    to ride; just imagine your eighteen-year-oldself let loose on a hyperbike...

    There are worrying signs that thelaw-makers are going to start looking atmotorcycles speed again, which meansheadline warp-cruisers will be the rstagainst the ring wall when the revolutioncomes. Its the US market that truly keepsthem alive, and could be their ultimatesaviour if the politics ever go shit-shaped.

    Its hard not to tell you to just buy aGSX-R1000, or similar, at this point. Theytour just as well, are lighter and just as fast.Their other benets are sportingly obvious.The main reason to splash your cash on bigccs is because these are the heavy hitters even non-bikers know that a Hayabusameans business. That kudos can be worth

    the bikes own weight in egotistical gold.Huge knackers arent something missing

    from this test, its just that they vary, muchlike in real life. Last year, the KawasakiZZR1400 just edged it over the Hayabusa.With only two bikes to choose from, bothdifferent propositions, our conclusion wasmore one of choice. Thankfully, BMWs newK1300S has roared into the fray, armed withthe goods to turn this into a proper test.Could it be the new King of the class? Letshit hyperdrive and nd out.
