GREETINGS FROM HYUNDAI

MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR

Greetings everyone!

“Looking back, moving ahead”. As the year almost comes to an end, I am reflecting upon the year gone by, and at the same time, thinking about moving ahead with big plans for our company. 2010 has been a historic year for HMIL, and we have scaled new heights, retained the coveted position of being amongst the leading automobile manufacturers in the country, synonymous with world class products, great prices and superior performance of our vehicles.

We started the year on the right note with the Auto Expo, where we showcased the futuristic and the environmentally friendly i10 electric and some of our most popular vehicles from across the globe. Although in the beginning of the year we were still coming out of an economic slump but as the year progressed the situation stabilized and by the middle of the year the industry started growing at a frantic pace. Starting from August our sales increased and for three consecutive months we sold a record number of cars. In October, we achieved record sales of 34,725 units in the domestic market, the highest ever since the company started sales in September, 1998. This is also the first time that HMIL achieved sales of over 50,000 units in four consecutive months.

These numbers have a story to convey – they reflect the faith customers place in our products. One testimonial to this fact is the phenomenal performance of the award-winning i20. In October, the production of this premium compact car crossed 2.5 lakh units.

Our foray into the SUV segment was aptly appreciated by auto enthusiasts and experts alike. The Santa Fe witnessed a spectacular launch amidst the rugged beauty of the Thar desert in the state of Rajasthan, the perfect backdrop for the imposing all-terrain vehicle. The luxury SUV received a record-breaking 535 bookings in two weeks since its launch, and has already won several accolades for its class-leading features.

This year, we have placed a premium on superlative service for our customers, so that the Hyundai experience continues even after the vehicle has rolled out from the showroom. With this purpose, and to support our growth and expansion plans, we have established new dealerships in 2010, taking the count to 301, along with 617 service points. We have set an aggressive target to increase the dealership network to 320 by the end of 2010, a target I am confident we will be able to achieve.

This veritable list of achievements is simply a chronicle of the efforts the employees at HMIL have undertaken to ensure the company crosses several milestones. I never tire of stating that for HMIL, the biggest asset is its employees. With the combined efforts, passion and dedication of our employees and dealers, we have been able to bring the organization to this milestone. I am confident that with our collective passion and commitment, we will be able to take HMIL to even greater heights.

In the end, I would like to congratulate everyone for these achievements and wish all the employees and their families a very happy and prosperous year ahead.

Best wishes

Hyundai gets easy finance options for its customersHyundai Motor India signed a memorandum of understanding with the Oriental

Bank of Commerce in lieu of providing easy finance options to its buyers in India.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Arvind Saxena, Director, Marketing & Sales, HMIL and

Mr. S.C. Das, Deputy General Manager, Marketing, Oriental Bank of Commerce

on behalf of their respective organizations.

Within the scope of the agreement, both the organizations would use their

respective databases of customers to grow their auto loan business. As a part of

the alliance, there would be vigorous effort to escalate the sales of Hyundai

vehicles with the bank's car loans to back the same.

Oriental Bank of Commerce is one of the most reputed and oldest banks in India

Hyundai ranks 4th in the Customer Service Index StudyHyundai has been ranked number four in customer satisfaction with after-sales services by market research firm JD Power. According to the study, Hyundai received an overall Customer Service Index (CSI) score of 785 on a 1,000-point scale. Hyundai showed the third highest increase in index points by gaining 42 index points over the last survey.

The study measures new-vehicle owner satisfaction with the after-sales service process by examining 5 factors of dealership performance. In order of importance, they are: service quality, vehicle pick-up, service initiation, service advisor and service facility.

Hyundai participates in campaign to end povertyWith the aim of ending poverty and inequality, Hyundai Motor India participated in the 2010 White Band Campaign, a global awareness-raising campaign taking place in over 100 countries.

Hyundai has been participating in the campaign for four consecutive years since 2007.

As part of the campaign, a donation box was placed in different locations in the factory premises. A total collection of around ̀ 75,000 was made by the staff who wore a white band with ‘End Poverty’ written on it. As per the plan, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) which is the corporate social responsibility arm of HMIL, will match the contribution of the employees and donate double the amount of the collection. This money will be given to selected underprivileged people who in turn will use this amount as their seed money in order to avail the self employment scheme loan from nationalized banks.

The activity will work towards poverty alleviation in the country. When they repay the amount to the bank the collected

money will once again be given to the next lot of people. Thus, it becomes a revolving fund for self employment schemes.

The Accent has always been an exciting car to drive. I have

done a number of trips with this car. The most exciting

was when we drove for puja vacations to Vizag. The car

was smooth to drive with seamless power and extremely

good road handling. The fuel consumption is slightly

high but this can be compromised with the comfort and

convenience that one experiences.

Hyundai Accent is my second car. I do not have to worry

on any issue with regard to the car. Hyundai has always

been there for us offering excellent, unmatched sales and

service and very good value for money.

I am really grateful to the team at Utkal Hyundai, which

has risen to the occasion at all times and given the best

I dropped in at MGF to have a look at Santro, I saw the car

at their showroom but they sent the test drive car at my

home. I was angry and didn’t take the test drive. Their
