What does a 1:1 iPad roll-out mean for my child?
My child will bring to school his/ her own iPad for the purpose of
learning.

Research• Personal ‘ownership’ of the device is seen as the single
most important factor for successful use of this technology

Organisation• Devices to be labeled and in protective covers
• Devices in bags to and from school
• Devices are to arrive at school fully charged
• Classrooms will be locked during recess and lunch
• School internet filter and blocked sites
• Polices and guidelines will be in place
• iPad technical support will be provided on our school website
• Child owned device
Required Apps • Apps will be purchased by the
school via a volume purchasing program
• Cost of apps will be covered in the one off class resource fee
• Students will receive emails containing codes which will enable them to download the apps to their devices
Next Year....• 1:1 program to begin Week 3, Term 1 2014
• Devices will be used 10 - 60 % of each day (Balance is best)
• Initial bootcamp will occur in the first few weeks of Term 1, 2014
• Bootcamp will occur prior to implementation in classroom
• Parents are welcome to attend bootcamp
