Tip: Many times “How are you?” is only a polite question. The answer is usually positive. (great, fine, okay) If the answer is negative (not very good, bad), you need to explain.

How are you? The verb “to be” is used to answer the question, “How are you?” This is a common question when you see a friend or colleague. I’m great! I’m fine How are you? I’m OK./I’m not bad. I’m not very good. I’m bad. Exercise 2. 5 Look at the following dialogue and answer the questions. (Write a complete sentence).
