• KZ is the 9th largest country by size in the world• It’s a huge place with a very small population:17 million people
• KZ translates as “Land of the Wanderers”• The people who live in KZ represent more than 120 nationalities

1. Kuurdak is one of the main and oldest dishes in Central Asian Cuisine. It is is usually made from mutton
2. Shelpek is a traditional Kazakh flatbread commonly consumed all over the country
3. The main ingredients are: flour, milk, sugar, butter, sour cream, baking soda, salt and vegetable oil
4. Kazakh Manti is normally ground lamb (sometimes beef or horse meat), spiced with black pepper, sometimes with the addition of chopped pumpkin or squash
