“God saved my life when I depended on Him with faith even though there was less than 1 % chance of recovery without surgery. It was on December 10th 2007 when I was in China. Quite suddenly my abdomen felt very uncomfortable and I was not digesting food properly. The next evening my lower abdomen started to swell causing me intense pain. It felt like my insides were about to burst. I could not sleep all night because of the severe pain. I thought, ‘What’s wrong with my body?’ On December 12th I went to hospital for evaluation and was diagnosed with appendicitis. The doctor recommended surgery because the appendix seemed almost ready to burst.”

A Chiming and Clear Voice Was Sounded “But I didn’t want surgery, even in this emergency situation. It was because when I was living in China through faith and obedience to the gospel of sanctification I was healed of many diseases including dizziness and herniated discs of the spine and the cervical vertebra. I strongly believed that God would also heal me this time because I had already witnessed any disease could be healed by the power of God through Dr. Jaerock Lee’s prayer. ‘Surely God will heal me. I will be definitely healed by Senior Pastor’s prayer.’The pain got even worse and I couldn’t breathe well. I quickly logged on to Manmin Central Church website. But due to severe pain I couldn’t even find ‘the Prayer for the Sick. Instead I received the prayer by phone recorded on Automated Response System. After the prayer, I managed to lie down, but still couldn’t fall into deep sleep because of pain. At that time I suddenly heard a chiming and clear voice from somewhere. ‘Appendicitis is not even a disease.’ It sounded like a man’s voice and it was sweet and clear. I was surprised and I opened my eyes, but no one was around me. I still had pain, so I drank Muan Sweet Water with prayer.

“You will die unless you have a surgery immediately.”

On December 16, my pastor and some church workers visited me because they had not seen me for a few days, not even on Sunday. They saw my side was swollen. It was red and blackened. I was told that it looked very serious and I should go to hospital.The next morning I went to hospital and received ultrasonography. The doctor could not immediately find what the problem was. So I went back to my missionary’s home. My whole body felt very cold and my right side was swollen as high as ten centimeters. When the missionary laid the handkerchief over where I was sick, the pain seemed to go away, but I lost consciousness because of severe pain. I even passed out from the pain. When the missionary prayed for me with the handkerchief, I woke up. The next day the missionary asked the doctor about my condition. The doctor said that if I was left without any treatment the inflammation would spread to the liver and that might lead to death. So the missionary took me back to the hospital. The result of the medical checkup was very serious. My appendix was already ruptured and the abdomen around my appendix was destroyed. The side was swollen and the kidneys and some parts of the liver were damaged as well. The doctor said that he had never seen such a serious patient and I would die if I didn’t receive surgery immediately.

“If I perish, I perish.” But I never wanted to depend on this world. Prophet Daniel was never afraid even facing being thrown into the lion’s den as a result of the evil plot of wicked people. Thus, he kept his faith in God and God was impressed by his faith and protected him completely.So I thought that if I call the almighty God ‘Father’ and rely on the world to solve my problem, then I could not be deemed to have true faith. I thought that it would be a disgrace before God. I hurried to put on my clothes and left the hospital before they could force me to stay. I went back to the missionary’s home and lied down with the handkerchief on my abdomen. Early the next morning, a surprising

thing happened. It seemed like someone was touching my belly during the night and I heard popping sounds from my belly again and again. Later I realized the sound was the work of God with His healing hands. God did consider and heal me when I determined that ‘If I perish, I perish’ and then fully depended on Him with faith.Around 3 in the afternoon I felt much lighter. And whenever I drank Muan Sweet Water, my urine became clean as if everything toxic had been leaked out. It seemed that someone was cleaning dirty things that had spread in the abdomen. Around 8 in the evening I relieved myself and I felt like flying in the air. The following day I could walk and came home. Now I am very healthy like I had never been sick at all.This testimony of mine was presented at the 5th International Christian Medical Conference by WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) in Norway in May, 2008. I heard that my healing case had surprised many medical doctors who were attending the 5th WCDN conference. One day a pastor who can see spiritual visions explained to me how God worked to heal me. God first washed my abdomen with the water of life and then removed the unclean things through the space of spirit as a black hole. Then I was reminded of a recording of the Book of Exodus. God parted the Red Sea into two and formed a special space between waters so that the Israelites could safely cross through the sea. Even today God opens the same spiritual spaces through His powerful servants and lets us experience this spiritual space. I give all the glory to the living God who healed me with His amazing power. And I give my heartfelt thanks to the Lord who has confirmed the authenticity of the Bible and led me to have true faith through His powerful works.” (Deaconess Haeoak Choi)

Dr. Jaerock Lee and whose President is Elder Boaz Lee, participated in the 66th NRB Convention and Exposition held at Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, USA from February 7th to 10th, 2009. Six thousand Christian broadcasters and associated groups from more than 30 different countries attended. Three hundred Christian broadcasting exhibitors set up exhibition booths. Manmin TV’s booth attracted great interest with a DVD presentation showing God’s powerful works; the introduction of Dr. Jaerock Lee’s books; and Muan Sweet Water. The English version of Dr. Jaerock Lee’s book The Power of God , published by Guardian Publishing House of Essence Communications of Canada, became an extremely popular topic of discussion! The renowned Canadian review company All Books Review designated The Power of God as a book of this month on February 2009. In the review of the book, All Books

Review wrote that this book played the part of a teacher facilitating the awakening both Christians and non-Christians to the Word of God. This work is filled with extensive medical data and pictures supporting the cases of divine healing such that it cannot be refuted by cynics. Recently All Books Review has listed several of Dr. Jaerock Lee’s books as the best religious book of the month including The Message of the Cross and Heaven I in July and August, 2008, My Life My Faith I in December, 2008 and in January 2009.

Asahi Nagano TV, one of 5 major broadcasting companies in Japan, recently broadcas t Ida Manmin Church on television. At 6:55, on February 23, the performing arts ministry of Ida Manmin Church was introduced on a popular teenagers’ program named “Muchu-Muchukko.” ‘Kids’ Dance’ made up of pre-school children from 4 to 7 years old; the ‘Children’s Worship Dance Group’ of primary school students, the Power Worship Dance Group of middle and high school students; and a special dance by Rainbow Dance Team appeared on the program. It is quite rare for an over-the-air television broadcaster to film and broadcast the ministry of a Christian church in Japan. Last December Asahi Nagano TV decided to broadcast the mission activities of Ida Manmin Church when they were so impressed by the performances of Ida Manmin Church at the “Korea-Japan Traditional Arts Festival Concert” held under the sponsorship of the media including Asahi Nagano TV, Sinano Mainichi Newspaper, and Sinshu Newspaper.

A Faithful Life

The great fore-fathers of faith recorded in the Bible not only had strong faith, but they were also faithful in their personal lives. For example, David, as a shepherd, protected his sheep from lions and bears at the risk of his life (1 Samuel 17:34). It was not a fun for such a young man who was so curious about so many things to sit all alone in a field watching the flocks. But he accomplished all his duties and when he had faithfully laid a firm foundation for his life, God allowed him to become the king over the entire nation of Israel rather than over a flock of sheep. What are your duties in your life? No matter what they may be, do your best; this is the ‘firm foundation’ for your success in the future.

The twelve foundation stones of the city wall of New Jerusalem are made of twelve different gem stones. The heart that is the composite of the spiritual meanings embedded in each of the gemstones is the heart of God and the Lord, which is perfect love. The last issue explained the meanings embedded in the first two foundation stones, jasper and sapphire. This time we will examine the meanings embedded in the third, fourth and fifth foundation stones.

1. The Third Foundation Stone is Chalcedony The spiritual heart that is represented by

chalcedony are the characters of purity and sacrificial love. Chalcedony represents the spiritual heart that is purity and sacrificial love. To be pure of heart is to have actions and deeds that are clean and free of spot or blemish and having no fault. That is the state of being pure is the state of having the actions and condition of a clean and unsoiled heart that has no faults. Possessing this ‘purity of the heart,’ one should be able to be self-sacrificing. This is the heart of spirit contained in chalcedony. Of course, this is not the self-sacrificing character for the fleshly and perishing things. It is the self-sacrifice for the kingdom and righteousness of God. Let’s delve into sacrificial love in a little more detail here. Sacrificial love is the love that can give up everything for the kingdom of God and not expect anything in return. We are satisfied just with the giving and don’t have any lingering attachments to what has been given. We just give all.

On the other hand, in the case of fleshly love something comparable is usually desired in return for what was sacrificed. However, if what is received in return is less than what was expected, a feeling of disappointment may result. Resentment or even hatred may even develop towards someone who wasn’t sensitive enough to return the sacrifice that was given. If we are truly self-sacrificing for others, we will give up everything within the truth, and not want anything in return. Let me give you the example of Ruth. Ruth was not an Israelite. She lived in Moab. She married the son of Naomi, who went there to escape the famine in Israel. Naomi had two sons, and both of them married Moabite women. But both of her two sons died. Under these conditions, when Naomi heard the famine in Israel was over, she wanted to go back to Israel. Naomi suggested to her daughters-in-law that they should stay in Moab, their homeland. But Ruth insisted on following her mother-in-law. If Ruth had not had sacrificial love, she couldn’t have done it. It means Ruth’s sacrificial love did not just come from her sense of duty. It was spiritual love that came from her faith in God. Finally, Ruth received many blessings through

Boaz, who was her kinsman-redeemer from among the relatives of her mother-in-law. Many people think that, if they humble and sacrifice themselves, their value will be lowered too. Finally, Ruth received many blessings through Boaz. Many people think that, if they humble and sacrifice themselves, their value will be lowered, too. But those who sacrifice themselves without any selfish motives and with a pure heart will have the sacrifices revealed before God and the people. Their goodness and love will shine for all others to see as spiritual lights.

2. The Fourth Foundation Stone Is Emerald Emerald is a gem-stone that gives out

greenish light. The spiritual heart that is represented by emerald are the qualities of righteousness, clarity, justness and cleanness.

It is the same as the color of the fruit of the Light in Ephesians 5:9. The color of the harmony of ‘all goodness and righteousness and truth’, is the same color as the spiritual light of emerald. Only when we possess all of the characters of goodness, righteousness and truth can we have true righteousness in the sight of God. It cannot be only goodness without righteousness or just righteousness without goodness.

In the Bible, who showed the light of true righteousness in harmony of goodness, righteousness, and truthfulness. David is one of them. David was the second king of Israel. He succeeded Saul as king. When people showed their love for David, Saul tried to kill David out of his jealousy. One time, David had a very good chance to kill Saul. The warriors who were with David and wanted to kill Saul as well, but David stopped them from killing him. Even though Saul had been forsaken by God, David could not hurt Saul because Saul had been anointed as the king by God. God recognized this heart of David to be righteous. This righteousness was displayed together with touching goodness. He did not repay evil for evil, but only repaid it with good words and good deeds. As a result, when similar situations took place later, David could act in the same way. But, if David had killed Saul when he first had the chance could he have avoided so much suffering and could he have become the king of Israel sooner? Of course he could have, but the problem would have been the trust relation with God. Even if we have to go through more sufferings and difficulties in life, we should have the heart to choose the righteousness of God.

Once God recognizes a person to be righteous, the level of God’s guaranteeing us will be different. David did not kill Saul. Saul was killed at the hand of Gentiles. As God had attested him, David became the king of Israel.

Esther also had a just and pure heart with which God is pleased. She became the queen of Persia as a Jew.

Additionally, because of a wicked plan conceived by a minister of Persia named Haman, the entire nation of Jews was in danger of being exterminated. In this situation, Esther did not just keep quiet thinking that danger might come upon her. She did not try to become the sole survivor. She fasted for three days for the salvation of her people. Then, relying on God, she boldly went before the king. The Jews not only escaped from the danger of extermination, but they were allowed to kill Haman and their enemies. If we do not forsake our righteousness even though we may lose everything, God will never forsake us either. But many people cannot pass beyond this moment, and that is why they cannot receive great blessings or answers. If they have some disadvantageous situations, they quickly change their mind. Their decision to keep their righteousness becomes weaker, and they compromise, and even follow after unrighteous ways.

Those children of God who are longing for New Jerusalem should never stand in the same way that sinners stand. They must not follow the wisdom of the wicked for their own benefits.

3. The Fifth Foundation Stone is Sardonyx The spiritual heart of sardonyx symbolizes

the character of ‘hardworking faithfulness’. If we just do what we are supposed to do, it cannot be said that we are faithful. We can say we are faithful when we do more than what we are supposed to do. You should accomplish not just the work entrusted to you, but also try to do things that were not originally given to you with all your heart and mind. Only then one can say that you are faithful. The kind of hardworking faithfulness recognized by God is to do your duty with all your heart, mind, soul, and life.

To have this kind of spiritual faithfulness, we should first have a righteous heart. We should desire for the kingdom of God to be enlarged, for the church to have revival and growth, for the workplace to be prosperous, and for our families to be happy. If we do not just seek our own, but desire for others and the community to be prosperous, this is to have a righteous heart. To be faithful, along with having this righteous heart, we should have a sacrificial heart. If we just think, “The most important thing is my prosperity, not whether or not the church is growing up,” we will probably not sacrifice for the church. Those who are good of heart will not incline toward just one side or the other. If we have neglected a certain point, we will not be comfortable about it if we have goodness of

heart. The magnitude of this kind of attitude will be different according to the magnitude of goodness you have. If you have only a little goodness, you will not even really care very much about the others. Maybe you will have some concern, but you’ll tend to just forget about it.

But if you have a greater goodness, you will not just ignore it when something causes your heart to become discomforted.

You know what kind of acts are acts of goodness, and if you are not accomplishing that goodness, it is difficult for you to bear it.

You will have peace only when you do show good deeds in acts of goodness. An evil man can be at peace only after he acts out his evil. In the same way, a good man can be at peace when he acts in goodness. So, those who are good in heart can naturally be faithful in all God’s house. In Numbers 12:7 God said this about Moses, “Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household.” The duty that Moses received from God was to guide the Israelites who were under slavery in Egypt, into the land of Canaan. Just counting the male adults there were 600,000. But if you were to include children, elderly people, and women, the number was well over 2 million. This many people were just like little children.

They constantly complained to Moses, and sometimes even rebelled against him. Nevertheless, Moses guided them until the end with faith and love. The people once committed a great sin and God was going to punish all of them and raise up another nation through the descendants of Moses.

But Moses repented before God and asked for the forgiveness for his people as if he himself had committed the sin. To save the people, he prayed and offered up his life in exchange for the lives of his people. Moses worked with all his heart, mind, and soul, and could even give his life to fulfill his duty.

God shows this faithful heart through the color of sardonyx. The sixth foundation stone is sardius, which is also called “carnelian” will be explained in the next issue.

Dear brothers and sisters,God wants His children to understand

well the spiritual meaning of each of the twelve foundation gem stones found on the city wall of New Jerusalem and to have true faith. May you accomplish the heart of spirit embedded in each gem-stone and shine the light of your beautiful spirit, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray!

The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.” (Revelation 21:19-20)

MANMIN IN THE WORLD

“I witnessed amazing works of God while attending the 2006 New York Crusade with Dr. Jaerock Lee and helped WCDN collect and confirm many healing works that happened during the crusade. Just as God performed extraordinary miracles through the aprons or handkerchiefs that were carried from the body of the apostle Paul (Acts 19:11-12), I have been experiencing God’s powerful works through the handkerchief Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed on.

Last November I visited a woman (Ekatherina Krasnikova, 85) who was in coma due to paralysis. When I arrived at the hospital, her body was cold and I noticed that she was already dead. As soon as I prayed with the handkerchief and she came back to life and said,

‘My spirit left my body and saw it connected with tubes and machines. Then I saw that two beautiful angels appeared to me and I was filled with joy! But deep in my heart, I had worries about some of my family members. What will happen to them if I leave them? Will they stay faithful to the Lord and keep their faith even without me? I felt so worried about them. So I started to ask the Lord in prayer to send someone who could help me to go back. In that moment I thought that if Dr. Vitaliy Fishberg would come here and pray for me with the handkerchief on which Dr Jaerock Lee had prayed, then I could regain life again!’

By her wish I came to her room at the moment, and prayed for her with the handkerchief. It was then that she miraculously came back to life again. Hallelujah!”

“Most people in Nepal believe in Buddhism or Hinduism. In 2008 the Kingdom of Nepal became a federal democratic republic, and the percentage of Christians has increased to 4%. Saturday is a public holiday in Nepal. So Manmin Mission Center offers the worship service every Saturday with a recorded Sunday service. The Sunday worship service, which is transmitted through GCN, is usually attended by workers of the Mission Center, pastors and members from other churches. Here, many stories of blessing are heard. The faith of each member grows day by day through attending the service broadcast on GCN. Those who receive Senior Pastor’s prayer with faith receive answers to various kinds of problems. After Dr. Jaerock Lee started preaching sermons under the title ‘The Whole Tithe and Offerings’ the amount of tithes offered by members increased more than tenfold

compared to last year’s amount at this same time. In addition, members who had been unemployed or jobless got a new job and are now living a better life. Also there are many testimonies that have been manifested through Muan Sweet Water and the handkerchief upon which Senior Pastor Jaerock Lee prayed. When they visited the ‘Blind Women’s Association’ the message titled with “The Message of the Cross” was preached and handkerchief prayer was offered for them. Then many people in attendance started to see the light and one person there could even read the fare-meter in a taxi. One pastor brought his brother who had a lung that was filled with water. Faith was first planted into his heart, and then handkerchief prayer was offered for him. The water

had suddenly completely disappeared. Through this experience he converted from Hinduism to Christianity, and now is a faithful worker in his church. Sunil Sakya had the misfortune of meeting with an accident and could not walk, speak, or eat normally. There was little chance of recovery, even in hospital, so he was taken back home where he waited only for death. ‘I let him listen to the

‘Message of the Cross’ and helped him receive Dr. Jaerock Lee’s prayer recorded in an MP3 player. Then I prayed for him with the handkerchief. An amazing thing happened - he stood up and walked by himself and began to speak!’ Brother Kumelai was released from possession by forces of evil that had tormented him for 14 years. Sister Sumisutar had serious difficulty in walking due to acute pain in the hip joint just below the waist and also due to the swelling of her feet, but she was healed when I prayed for her with the handkerchief. Pastor K. B. Bussnet, ministering the Kitipul Promise Church, had a big scar on his chest that was left behind because of the scorching sunlight. But after spraying Muan Sweet Water on the scar, it began to become smaller. His church has been growing day by day through the preaching on the gospel of sanctification and showing the powerful works of God. For the last a few months there have been electrical failures that lasted for over 16 hours a day. Water for washing could not be supplied. Use of public transportation was often disrupted because of frequent labor strikes. Whenever a street was blocked on Saturday, many brothers and sisters couldn’t attend their churches.

Difficulties do not end here. But such difficulties cannot stop her from working for the kingdom of God. ‘No matter what kind of difficulties block my way, nothing matters to me just so long as more help to meet the living God is extended to the Nepalese.’” (Missionary Grace H. Lee)

“Many youngsters in Russia have been addicted to drugs. Some of them are cured but unfortunately return to drugs. But our visit to Manmin Central Church gave us the assurance that we can heal and change them completely with the gospel of sanctification and the power of God.” This confession was made by the two Russian visitors - Pastor Evgeniy Smirinskiy, Director of the Russian Rehabilitation Center, and Pastor Oleg Dyachenko, Senior Pastor of the Morning Star Church. They have worked in cooperation with Rev. Vladimir Osipop, Russian Director of the United Holiness Church of Jesus Christ. They used to be drug addicts before they accepted the Lord, but were healed by the grace of the Lord and became pastors. They looked overjoyed

and said that this visit let them have a clear vision for their ministry in Russia. Pastor Oleg Dyachenko said, ‘I’ve felt it obscure to become sanctified for long, but now I could realize what it means through the ministry of Manmin. I found how necessary the gospel of sanctification is to my church.’ And he added, ‘While I was praying at the Daniel Prayer Meeting, I saw a woman member tearfully praying for world mission and Russia. It felt to me like God was shedding tears for the people in Russia.’ Pastor Evgeniy Smirinskiy, Director of the Russian Rehabilitation Center, said, ‘I was so touched by Dr. Jaerock Lee’s testimonial book ‘Tasting Eternal Life before Death,’ and imagined a little what his ministry must be like. But

during this visit I realized how much the dedication and efforts Dr. Jaerock Lee and his church members have offered as they have accomplished this great and beautiful church.’ Then, he showed his determination, saying, ‘When I preached the gospel of sanctification many Russians came to the Rehabilitation Center.
