LENTEN FISH FRY/ PESCADO FRITO DE CUARESMA Our annual Lenten Fish Fry will be held on March 2, March 9 and March 16. Hours are 3 PM to 7 PM. Cost is $7.00 per ticket. The menu will be fish, French fries and coleslaw. Tickets will be sold every weekend after Masses and will also be available in the church office during the week. BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING/REUNIÓN DEL COMITÉ DE EDIFICACIÓN The Parish Council met on Feb. 12. Opening prayer was led by Padre. Finance: Tim reported we are in good shape. Tim said that we were trying not to use the Building Fund, instead trying to raise money for pro-jects through fundraisers. Building: Jim is waiting for a third estimate on the flooring. Mass has been arranged to be held at the Sports Arena for 4 weeks while floor is being replaced starting June 3
rd. There
will be no Saturday Masses during this time. Social: Breakfast between Masses for St. Patrick’s Day will be held on Palm Sunday, March 25. Fundraising: International Food Festival will be held on April 7
th.
Misc. Name change ballot to be handed out to parishioners end of Feb. Letter is being written to Msgr. Sherba thanking him for his donation to the BAA on our behalf. Pastoral Plan needs to be updated for 2018-2019. Paula Green would like to create a Home Visit Ministry to assist with meals and other things the family may need. Only the Knights will be involved in the Chicken Picken this year. We are all asked to support them. We are looking to find 2 members to join Parish Council from the 12 PM Mass. Padre will be in Guatemala the weekend of Mar 3. The election of Parish Council chair to be held in April. Meeting ended with a prayer. El Consejo Parroquial se reunió el 12 de febrero.
