Time & Talent Do we ever take the initiative in giving our time, talent,

and treasure, or do we always wait to be asked?

Ascension Sunday, May 13 Next Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension, when Jesus returned to the Father in heaven where he intercedes for us and to make possible the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Pope Emeritus Benedict has described the period since the Ascension as when “the Christian community progresses in its earthly itinerary toward the fulfillment of the messianic promises, strengthened by the Word of God and nourished by the Lord’s Body and Blood”.

Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquet Cards! Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13! Share your love and prayers with your mother, living or deceased, with a spiritual bouquet Mother’s Day card. Cards are available now in the church or in the Parish Office. Please return your enrollment envelope in the collection or to the Parish Office by Saturday, May 12.

Volunteers are needed after 1 or 2 of the Masses that weekend, to help with the event for 10-15 minutes.

This mini examination of conscience was created by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Come learn about The Examen in a 2-part Introductory workshop on Tuesday, May 29 and June 5 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Did you know... Catholics go door-to-door? At the end of Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus urges the 12 disciples to “Go… Preach the gospel to the whole creation. Make disciples of all nations. I am with you always, to the close of the age.” How does that relate to modern day? At our church, we have a group that visits all of the homes in our local community, inviting our neighbors to consider visiting the church or rekindling their relationship with Jesus. If you are interested in joining this group or would like to find out more about how you could support this group called the Legion of Mary, please contact us at (714) 698-9309 or email: [email protected]
