The North American Board
• NA = Canada, USA, Caribbean (8 countries), Guyana and Bermuda
• Formed 2002 as the North American Committee -Committee of the Corporation (Bylaws)
• Reorganized as NA Board December 2005
• 10 Directors (minimum of one from Canada) plus one Executive Committee representative and The IIA President
• Oversees NA operations much like Institutes around the world…but not autonomous. Reports to the Global Board of Directors.
• NA Board Members also serve on Global Board of Directors

What Does North American Board Do?
• Provide strategic direction for North America
• Represent North American interests at global level
• Oversees budget/dues for NA members
• Provides guidance for NA training programs
• Provides support to NA Chapters
North American Strategic Plan
• Goal A. Professionalism: The IIA, at all levels, will
collaborate to enhance the profession in North America.
• Goal B. Advocacy: The IIA will raise the profile of and
demand for the profession, enhancing its recognition as
indispensable to good governance by key stakeholders.
• Goal C. Sustainable Value: The IIA will generate
sustainable value for members.
• Goal D. IIA as Leader: The IIA will emerge as the
leading voice in integrated audit, governance, risk
management assurance and control.
