single land mass2. Continental Drift-the idea that continents slowly moved
over Earth’s surface3. Pangea- Supercontinent4. Evidence from land features-pieced together maps found
mountain ranges fit together5. Fossils- Fossils found in places that were once seperated by
land6. Climate- Fossils of tropical plants were found near the poles
and vice Versa
B. Wegener’s Hypothesis Rejected1. Could not give a satisfactory explanation as
to why the continents were moving2. Proposed when continents collide their edges
crumple and fold causing mountains to form
