WaEer is brackish, the lake being fed bytwo rivers but connecLed, via other 1akes, to the sea. There isno significant tidal novement. The surrounding shores are inost-1y scrub or open country with only low hi11s so wind is 1ittleaffected. Sea breezes from the east are common in summer.The nearest towns are Sale (24km), and Stratford (24km). Bothare located on Highway 1.THE YACHT CLUB.ffiisatwostoreyl'Allframebui1dinesituatedonthe foreshore. There is a sheltered double famp and a jetty.If you wish, boats can be left aL anchor, protected by the break-waLer.
