Monroe, Pattie Leonard, and Kirby Leonard... We had 29 in attendance and had anawesome time... We enjoyed“Marsha (Mitchell) Day” following our property tour, celebrating Taco Tuesday and

Realtor.com Profiles lessons amongst others... just look at the parking lot situation. Manager Trenda Carlisle became the Valet for the day, constantly having to get people to move cars all through the day

and inbetween Tour/Sales Meeting/Marsha Day locations, interviewing three agents, hiring one on the spot and having one coming back once licensed!

LAKE HOUSTON: The Lake Houston staff and agents took a night off from being Realtors to become painters!! We put down the pens and picked up the paint brushes to paint “ Happy Hydrangeas” at Painting With ATwist – Kingwood! We highly recommend trying this out!! A BIG congratulations to a

few new Grandmas in the offi ce. Melessa Clark welcomed her fi rst grandson, Cameron, weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19 ¾ inches long- AND Kendra Lee became a Grandmother again to a precious baby girl weighing 6 lbs., 8 oz. and 18 inches long. These Grandbabies are lucky to have such great women as their Grandmas... During the

Summer, some of the Lake Houston agents took advantage of no school for the kids and traveled with their families. Alarie Moseley and her family traveled to Florida to enjoy some time in the sun. Judging by their big smiles – they had a blast! Jennifer Jones and her

husband treated themselves to a trip to Puerto Vallarta. She said they loved kayaking, zip lining, horseback riding and site-seeing!

Carol Marple jumped on a plane and headed north to NYC to visit her sister and friend. Carolwas excited to see “The Book of Mormon” on Broadway and said it was a fabulous show. One of our new agents, DanielBaird, treated his sons to a cruise. His sons may not have wanted to take

pictures but they will have great memories forever! Megan Christopher has a couple of little swimmers on her hands. Her sons, Kylan and Kohen, have been working hardand shaving down their times at the swim meets this summer. We are excited to see these boys doing so well. Go Otters!! A group of the Lake Houston agents celebrated the Grand Opening atthe Bridges on Lake Houston. Leslie Free’slucky streak struck again when she won a

pretty baby blue Yeti cooler! There’s no doubt, she will enjoy that prize! We would like to say WELCOME to all of our new agents: Daniel Baird, Denise Johnson, Jim Bollig, Jenna Winans, Meg Janssen, and Kelli Kantor! We are excited to have you onboard!

MEMORIAL: Agents in the Memorial Offi ce continue to grow and sharpen their expertise. Manager Judy LaFico introduced “Digging for Dollars” as a reward for agents who havenew listings. In addition, we now have two newmembers to welcome to the family – Amanda Hill and Dawnalee Head... CONGRATULATIONS to Kim Soderberg, who was named Honorary Realtor for the second quarter of 2015 for The Falls at

Imperial Oaks... Congratulations to Carol Kudrick’s grandson Connor, who has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-American NCAA Division II men’s at-large third team. Connor earns Academic All-American Honors for the fi rst time in his tennis career. We know Carol is very proud!

Diana Stegner’s s o n , Jo na t han and Mar iaMiddlehurst married on May24, 2015 in Surrey, England at Cranleigh Golf & Country Club... secondly, here’s Cecelia Stewart,Susan Henshaw and Lynn Winget at the Texas City Satellite offi ce, which is available to agents

in the area to conduct real estate business... and our third pic is of John Cahill, our corporate attorney for BHGRE Gary Greene, who gave the Galveston and Tiki Island offi ces an update on Risk Management at the Galveston Rosenberg Library in Galveston July 22.

Alexa Haas’ daughter Kelsey has been helping her during the summer months. Alexa will soon be on her own again when Kelsey returns to her studies at South Texas State in San Marcos... Bruce Nicholson is the proud owner of Mattie, a golden retriever. Bruce thinks she’s adorable, but says she is all puppy... Jo Ellen Anderson and husband Randy went on a seven-day Alaskan cruise on Oceania from Seattle. The cruise was fantastic and the Alaskan scenery beautiful – whales, dolphin, seals, glaciers, fjords and waterfalls! Back in Seattle they did the tourist round of the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, the Boeing Factory, Under the City, and the Gold Rush Museum. Busy time but relaxing – Jo Ellen didn’t even look at home sale prices there... Josie and Charles Wheeler had a grand time in Nashville, where theystayed at the beautiful and historic Union Station Hotel (even though it is said to be

haunted) and took the General Jackson (paddle wheel boat) dinner cruise on the Cumberland river. During their four-day visit they went to the historic Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Blue BirdCafe, Printers Alley, and downtown Nashville. Saturday night found them in the audience for a live performance of The Grand Ole Opry and with backstage passes for a guided tour after the show! They enjoyed seeing the dressing rooms, sound stages, and musicians lounge backstage, and stood on stage in the famous circle cut from the Ryman Auditorium when they moved the Opry to its current location... Bernice Blum and family

just came back from the happiest place(s) on earth- Disney and Legoland! They took off to Los Angeles for a ten-day trip with nine family members (coming in from different parts of US). They rode bikes in Venice, stayed in a great hotel on the beach in Santa Monica, really got to live the LA lifestyle, drove down to Oceanside/San Diego and just enjoyed being out of the heat and humidity. Due to a United Airline computer glitch, they wereforced to stay an extra day and hang out in Beverly Hills. Bernice said it was really afun vacation and she was able to fi nalize some deals at the same time, so that made it even better. She’s ready to begin planning her next vacation... Theresa Wehrmeister’s daughter Sarah competed in the 2015 NCSA Summer Swimming Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis. Sarah is a senior in high school this year and is being recruited for a swimming scholarship.

KATY: The Katy offi ce has been busy the past month and not just selling real estate! Weenjoyed visits from both Mark and Marilyn this past month. Mark joined us for one of our sales meetings/tours and Marilyn held a wonderful training class... Julie Lower took aBaltic cruise to Copenhagen, Germany, Russia, Estonia, and Sweden in June. The highlights of the trip were the beautiful churches and the palaces... Christi Borden celebrated her husband Danny’s 50th birthday on safari in Kenya and Tanzania Africa which included trips across the Ambolesi, Lake Manyara and Ngorgoro crater and a fabulous sunrise balloon ride across the Serengeti... April Maestri enjoyed spending time at a lake in Michigan with several high school friends... Hollye Noce spent the fourth of July enjoying a family reunion at the beach in Orange Beach, Alabama. On July 16th, the Firethorne community in Katy hosted a wonderful event for area real estate agents. Lisa Miles won big in a drawing winning $500 from Firethorne! There are alot of July birthdays in the offi ce and several of us enjoyed lunch at Perry’s in LaCenterra hosted by Perry Homes... This month our offi ce enjoyed Happy Hour at Three Olives in Villagio Town Center. We had a great turnout and a great time washad by all... BAY AREA: Lisa Salinas’ daughter, Salma, has been busy working as an actress in Louisiana and New York the past few months. She is a featured extra in the fi lm Daddy’s Home, starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, which will be coming out this holiday season. Also, she is currently working as a recurring character in an upcoming Netfl ix original series starring Jimmy Smits- The series is The Get Down and airs in February... Jennifer Klein and family threw her Dad Ken an extravagant 80th birthday party in St Louis. The entire family enjoyed more libations than normal, as all the kids are now of drinking age! Linda Fee, Danielle Fee Herman and their families made their annual trek to Montana to stay in their family cabin- a really NICE home that they call a cabin... Todd Clark, our favorite Gibraltar Insurance Rep, and his wife Michelle had an extended weekend without children, so off to Ohio for the July 4th weekend they went. They visited family, went to the Amish country and capped it off with a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame... Laureen Marrow and husband Dave fl ew to Colorado

for the birth of their fi rst grandson, Aike. Also, Laureen and son Luke took an amazing trip back home to Canada, spending ten days enjoying a very enthusiastic family reunion. These people know how to party! Norman and Felicity’s Frenk’s son, Ryan, who by the way recently joined us as a new licensee, starred in a two person musical/play- “I Do I Do”. Many of the bunch from the Bay Area offi ce attended... Lynette Bulseco had a very busy month with real estate and travel. First she went to Utah for

her niece’s farewell for her church mission. Straight from Utah, she traveled to Charlotte, South Carolina for her sister-in-law’s wedding, followed by the entire wedding party enjoying a family reunion in Gatlinburg. A few weeks later, she and husband Jon gave their

daughter Chelsea a big sendoff as she left on a mission trip to Provo, Utah. First, 8 weeks of intense studying of the Russian language, then off to Kiev, Ukraine for 16 months... Kelly Paul and husband Michael treated their son, Wade, to a Caribbean cruise before he jetted off to California to

search for a job. Wade could have worked in Houston but that was not an option he would consider... Jeff Childs and wife Jana spent a wonderful time visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Kyle Roxby, in Spokane, WA. The scenery was an awesome experience. While there, they travelled to Seattle to experience the traditions of the Pike’s Place Open Market (fi sh throwing, fresh produce and seafood). Yellowstone National Park was taken in on the trip back. It was quite a sight to see a wild bison walking down the road, as if leading a parade, with many cars following and just as many pulled over gawking and taking pictures. The bison seemed oblivious to everything around him as he walked within feet of the vehicles. It was amazing! In addition to the bison, they spotted other animals that included a pair of bald eagles, elk, deer, and prong-horned deer. The trip was wonderful and highly recommended for anyone interested in traveling to the Northwest. The only advice is to allow at least 3 weeks to really enjoy the beautiful terrain that it has to offer because 10 days is just not enough... Debra Blenderman and husband Don rented a home from our Galveston Beach Rental offi ce over the July 4th holiday. The crew at our rental offi ce were amazing- Remember them when booking accommodations in Galveston!

CHAMPIONS: What a way to celebrate a birthday! Linda Beck and hubby Brian treated her kids and grandkids to a trip to England to meet Brian’s family including his baby granddaughter. The granddaughters shopped at Harrods and the grandson’s favorite was a day trip across the Channel to see the Eiffel Tower... Kristi Riling’s daughter Sofi e tied the knot and is moving to Israel! Sofi e’s new husband is in the Israeli army. I am sure the airline and phone bills will be pretty high in the Riling house... Congrats to Keisha Simons who competed in a fi tness contest- months of training and eating clean was very diffi cult. When she reached her goal, she looked amazing and couldn’t wait to “pig out” on her favorite foods after the show! She is one hard-working agent because now she needs to replace her wardrobe with smaller sizes- a problem all us wish we had. Way to go Keisha... After months of planning, we welcome TATCO and Gibraltar Title into our building! They carved out a suite in the back- Now we have all the Gibraltars just a few steps away! We are a lucky group of agents... Two more athletes at our offi ce- Teresa Dial just completed a 300 mile bike ride to raise fun for the Make A Wish foundation, and Steve Spicer fi nished the Cypress Triathon. Where do they get the energy? Finally, on a sad note, our thoughts and prayers go out to our Brenda Roberson with the recent death of her husband Homer.

CYPRESS: Jonathan Horton, son of our Margo Horton, is the newest Elite Athlete of TEAM LABRADA! We are very excited for him! Jonathan is a two time Olympian and is currently training to compete in Rio in 2016 with the USA Men’s Gymnastics team.

In his fi rst Olympic appearance in Beijing, Horton went home with a bronze team medal as well as a silver for his high-bar performance. He has also competed on two seasons of American Ninja Warrior, currently becoming “the shortest man to ever make it to the top of the

warped wall.” Not only is he a great athlete, he is also a devoted family man to his wife and son. Big month for the Horton Family... Margo and Alan just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. WOW, congrats! Carolina Purnell is also back from

vacationing in Rio with her family. Beautiful place! Cathy Hamlin is back from her Hawaiian vacation... She had a wonderful time and took beautiful photos in Oahu. The pic on the right is where they fi lmed the steamy beach scene from “Here To Eternity” with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr...

Finally, we have a photo of Angela Chavez and hubby Rick at daughter Shyanne’s graduation. Congrats to her!

FORT BEND: Lane Pearson took a 7-day (early 21st Birthday cruise) out of Galveston to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan Honduras. Lane is the consummate traveler and can always offer great recommendations (our own in-house Travelocity)... Congratulations to the most recent crop of Ft. Bend MCNE (Master Certifi ed Negotiation Expert) recent graduates Barbara Marlin, Alicia Jammer, Arlene Novak, and Kathy Thompson joined Marlena Berger,

Brad Hammond, Feryal Abdulkader, and Val Howell. And last but leading the way as the fi rst designee in our offi ce was Pam Kelly... Never Give Up- A credo Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale lives by and his success is refl ected in his dedication and

determination. A credo we can all benefi t from. A Realtor preview of the newest Gallery Furniture located in Richmond was attended by Pam Kelly, Barbara Marlin, Julie McErlane, Jim Verges, Val Howell, Joyce Nordquist, Lisa Seward, Barbara Schweizerhof,

Laura Parks, Michelle Posey, Marlena Berger, David Goldberg, Lane Pearson, Barbara Marlin, Christina Daw, Renee McKelvey, and Ann LeTulle... Jennie Tu and family took over our offi ce parking lot with “Tu-Go Kitchen”, The Tu Family food truck. The event was sponsored by Nikki Owen, Gibraltar Insurance, Gibraltar Title/TATCO and Gibraltar Mortgage. The truck, which was the perfect “Gary

Greene green,” served us up a variety of amazing goodies, followed (or preceded by) a variety of pies and cream puffs! “Like” Tu-Go Kitchen on Facebook so you know where the food truck is at any given

time! Thanks Jennie! Great idea for your private events... Wedding bells rang on June 7th in La Jolla, California, as Moira Holden’s son Stuart tied the knot! Family, of course, was a big part of the ceremony, with her 90-year-old Father making the trip from the UK, Moira’s daughter Rachel (of our Corporate Relo department) serving as a Bridesmaid and son Euan serving as Best Man! Congrats Moira and the entire wedding party... On June 24th, 2015 at the M.O. Campbell Education Center

in Houston, Nicole Henzell, her husband, and two sons became United States citizens, along with approximately 2,600 other petitioners. Their naturalization ceremony was something of great importance to the entire family. The oath was administered by the Honorable Keith Ellison, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas. After all in attendance sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the Judge announced their offi cial citizenship. Green cards were then surrendered and Certifi cates of Citizenship were issued. It’s offi cial now! Congratulations!

The Gibraltar Group, which is our umbrella designati on for our family of companies- Insurance, Mortgage, and Title- love to celebrate our agents who go out of their way to embrace our “One-stop Shop” concept of providing all the necessary components for a successful transacti on for our buyers and sellers. Two ways they show their appreciati on to you are their quarterly luncheons celebrati ng agents who are top producers for referrals to the group, as well as their monthly “Bragging

Rights Trophy”, which goes to the offi ce with the highest combined sales amongst all three home services. The second-quarter luncheons, pictured at right, were great opportuniti es for Title’s Matt Woodroof, Mortgage’s Dana Napier, and Insurance’s George Cooley to give the agents more informati on about working with our partners and share perti nent industry informati on. If you have

questi ons about working with any of our Gibraltar Group family, many offi ces have in-offi ce agents who can answer your questi ons, or feel free to call the BHGRE Corporate offi ce at 713-465-6644 and ask tospeak with a Gibraltaragent. Questi ons forour Title Company canbe directed to 713-244-2878 or emailed to customerservice@gibraltar tleco.com.

Company Founder Gary Greene, 1937-2015With much sadness we said goodbye to our company namesake and founder, Gary Dorsey Greene, who passed away August 3, 2015 in his beloved home of Galveston. Gary was buried with full military honors at Houston Nati onal Cemetary, with BHGRE Gary Greene partners Mark Woodroof and Marilyn Eiland in att endence at the gravesite ceremony.

Aft er four years of honorable service in the Air Force, Gary studied at the University of Houston, working as a Realtor, then founding Gary Greene Realtors in 1964 with one offi ce in Southwest Houston. He eventually sold the company to partners Bill McIlwain and Brad Fleming, staying on as a General Manager. Gary was also a past president of the Houston and Galveston Associati on of Realtors, as well as many local boards and commissions. We presented him with a 50 year service award in 2014. Without him, this company would not exist, and he leaves behind a multi tude of friends and coworkers who describe him as a legend and icon in Houston and Galveston estate.

Monroe, Pattie Leonard, and Kirby Leonard... We had 29 in attendance and had an awesome time... We enjoyed “Marsha (Mitchell) Day” following our property tour, celebrating Taco Tuesday and

We put down the pens and picked up the paint brushes to paint “ Happy Hydrangeas” at Painting With A Twist – Kingwood!

Carol was excited to see “The Book of Mormon” on Broadway and said it was a fabulous show. One of our new agents, Daniel Baird, treated his sons to a cruise. His sons may not have wanted to take

pictures but they will have great memories forever! Megan Christopher has a couple of little swimmers on her hands. Her sons, Kylan and Kohen, have been working hard and shaving down their times at the swim meets this summer. We are excited to see these boys doing so well. Go Otters!! A group of the Lake Houston agents celebrated the Grand Opening at the Bridges on Lake Houston. Leslie Free’s lucky streak struck again when she won a

pretty baby blue Yeti cooler!

Manager Judy LaFico introduced “Digging for Dollars” as a reward for agents who have new listings. In addition, we now have two new members to welcome to the family – Amanda Hill and Dawnalee Head... The Memorial Offi ce would like to congratulate the 2015 Second Quarter Top Performers- Thalia & Josh Guderyon, Diana Hu, Ann Woodroof, The Webster Group, Brad Fleming, Meg Beach, Tracie Pierce, Cindy Trahan, Pat Nimtz & Wendy Bellow, Team Barzilla and Lynette Lew!

WOODLANDS: Cheri Young and family just returned from a week in Seaside, Florida- her favorite summer vacay spot. Pictured are sons Cooper and Cannon at the beach... Joyce and Chris Hanson just returned from a fabulous 12 day vacation in Honolulu. Hanauma Bay was their favorite place to snorkel.

Josie and Charles Wheeler had a grand time in Nashville, where they stayed at the beautiful and historic Union Station Hotel (even though it is said to be

haunted) and took the General Jackson (paddle wheel boat) dinner cruise on the Cumberland river. During their four-day visit they went to the historic Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Blue Bird Cafe, Printers Alley, and downtown Nashville.

Due to a United Airline computer glitch, they were forced to stay an extra day and hang out in Beverly Hills. Bernice said it was really a fun vacation and she was able to fi nalize some deals at the same time, so that made it even better. She’s ready to begin planning her next vacation...
