While patrolling I heard a lot of engine noise and then saw a lot of smoke

coming from the area of W. Railway and Broadway. There I found the listed

vehicle spinning its tires, then proceeding across Broadway and onto E. 14th

St. after stopping the vehicle the driver, Sorensen, appeared impaired and

showed impairment with maneuvers. He was taken into custody and the

passengers of the vehicle, Lucius and Lovesee, cited as noted.

I was dispatched to the Bible Baptist Church at 2023 AVE C reference a broken

window. I made contact with Mike who said the window wasn't damaged last

night at 9:00pm and the damage was observed on this date at 11:10am when

returning to the church. I observed the north east window which had the

screen removed and a rock thrown through the glass. I could not see any other

damage nor could Mike locate anything missing at this time.

Officers responded to the area of Wal-Mart on a call of a male shoplifter

fleeing from the loss prevention staff. The male was located by responding

Officers and after a foot chase was taken into custody. After identification

it was said that the male had tried a new pair of shoes on, then leaving his

On 3-16-2013 I was notified that Nathaniel Long was currently at the Lincoln

House inside of apartment # 407 and that he had an active detention order. I

made my way to the apartment and I located Long. The warrant was confirmed

through the communications center. OJS worker Jim Reeves was contacted and he

gave permission to place Long at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

Long was placed into handcuffs which were double locked and checked for fit.

Long was transported to Scotts Bluff County Jail without incident. JV-12-21

Officers were advised of a protection banning Daniel Deleon form contacting

his parents. We were told he was at the residence. Upon arrival Daniel

On 03/16/13 Scottsbluff Police were sent to 88 Woodley Park Road in reference

to needing a male subject removed from the residence. Contact was made with a

Thomas J. Mendoza 08/04/85. A check for outstanding warrants was made with a

confirmation on a warrant out of Madison County Nebraska for FTP on a theft

case. After the warrant was confirmed Thomas was arrested and taken to the

Scotts Bluff County Detention Center and released in to their custody.

On 03/17/13 Scottsbluff Police officers were at 601 E. Overland looking for a

possible runaway from Gering. While at 601 A female approached advising that

RAFUS STOWE has been hiding out at this location and is listed on Scotts

Bluff County's Most Wanted web site. I confirmed a warrant and Stowe was

subsequently arrested without incident. Stowe was transported to the Scotts

On 3-18-2013 I observed Anthony Benavides riding in 21-AB27. I made contact

with the occupants of the vehicle in the 1100 Block of East Overland Dr. Here

I identified Benavides through his Nebraska driver’s license and confirmed

the warrants through the communication center. Benavides was placed into

handcuffs which were double-locked and checked for fit. The warrants were for

failure to pay judgments on charges of driving under suspension.

Jeremy Delgado said he was at work; his wife left. She did not set the alarm;

it showed the garage door was opened at 1652. A Rigid 5 gallon air compressor

I was patrolling on 16th Avenue when the vehicle in front of me failed to

signal a turn and was driving erratic. I stopped the vehicle and contacted

the driver who was identified by his Nebraska license as Tony Alexander. A

check of his drivers status revealed that his license is suspended for

On 3/20/13, I received a phone call from Melissa Buhr in reference to Oren

being at school and needing to be picked up to go to detention. Melissa said

that he has not been at home and has missed court all violations of his

probation. Melissa advised there is also a warrant for Oren signed by Judge

Mickey on 3/19/13 for failure to appear. The warrant number is 299262 and no

bond is listed. Melissa advised that she is authorizing detention and met me

at the Bluffs Middle School and gave me the authorization for detention. Oren

was then taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention

Center without incident and turned over to Detention Center staff.

I was advised of a vehicle that had just left Wal-Mart and the female

passenger, Jerah Stovall, was trespassing as well and had an active warrant

Greg Beleil called to report theft of some tools. he said a male known to

them as Mark Cross came in and bought some tools. He was an employee of

I was eastbound in the 600 block of E. Overland, where I observed William

Morris walking in to the E. Overland Laundromat. I had past contact with

William on 10/11/12 at which time he was issued a trespassing notice at

owner's request; therefore, I made contact with William while he was still on

the property at which point I placed William under arrest for the violation.

NOTE: William was cooperative and sober at the time of incident. I

transported William to the county jail, where he was booked in on trespassing

I responded to The Storage Units on the 600 block of Avenue B in reference to

a storage unit that had been broken into. I contacted Lynn Eitzen who said

that she was called by the owner and told that her lock had been cut on her

storage unit #17, this was at 9:30 a.m. and when Lynn got off work she went

and checked on the unit. I did not observe any pieces of the lock that was

cut. Lynn said that there was some red and blue plastic totes missing with

personal papers in them as well as family pictures, she estimated the

actual loss at $50 or so dollars. Lynn told me that her son had been in the

storage until prior to her to check and move some stuff out. No suspects at

the time.

4th Ave regarding an assault in progress. When I arrived, I spoke with

Karissa Bordeaux who stated her cousin Jeremy Gray Grass was punching his

girlfriend Danielle Prather so she attempted to pull him off of her. In the

process Jeremy struck Karissa in the face breaking her glasses. Jeremy was

arrested for domestic assault and simple assault.

On 03/23/2013 at approximately 0914 I was dispatched to Laucomer Drive in

Scottsbluff in reference to a black lab running loose. Upon arriving I found

the black lab and placed it in the back of my patrol vehicle. I transported

the lab to Panhandle Humane Society. Prior incidents of the dog running loose

While at the Jail with an arrestee, in the Sally Port approaching the entry

door, I observed a baggy on the floor. It was located under the call box for

the main door, near the wall. It appeared to have marijuana in it and on

picking it up I could see that it was as I believed. I secured it, advised

the Jail of my findings and they indicated that the last agency in the Sally

Port was NSP. I left a message with the NSP duty Sergeant that morning of my

findings and he said that he would relay the message. As of this

report I have heard nothing and am logging the marijuana into evidence.

Ben Nagel turned in a coin purse. Ben said that he found it on 5 Rocks Rd

near Summit Christian College in Gering while he was jogging. There is a

license belonging to Melissa Reed in the wallet. I have attempted to contact

Melissa and have not been successful. The purse is being placed into evidence

for safekeeping. I determined through records and the owner card in the purse

that the current address for Melissa is 1350 13th Street Mitchell. Mitchell PD

Chief Mike Cotant attempted contacted with Melissa and she was not home.

There was a phone number for Melissa on the card of 308-641-1628. I have

called that number and there is no answer and a full mailbox.

On 10/10/12 I observed 21-D604 travel left of center while north bound on

19th Ave. A stopped the vehicle in the 2100 BLK of E. Overland and had

contact with the registered owner Thomas Johnson. I then smelled the strong

odor of marijuana coming from Thomas and searched the vehicle which resulted

several plastic bags with a white powdery substance. Thomas was then arrested

and transported to the Scotts Bluff County Jail.

They were contacted there. Investigation indicates they placed graffiti

While patrolling the area of the 3100 Block of Ave B looking for a suspect

who was just involved in a vandalism, I observed vehicle 21-L388 driving in

the area with a passenger that matched the description of the suspect. When I

made contact with the driver, Joshua Leever, I detected the odor of burning

marijuana coming from the vehicle. I asked Josh for consent to search the he

Christopher Jones called to say he was being a "good Samaritan". A male he

only knows as A.J and a female friend were walking near 20th St and Ave I.

They said that his red Camaro Tenn. plates broke down, so Chris gave him and

a female a ride to his house. Once at the house A.J. asked to use the

restroom. When Christopher Jones went to take his evening meds, he found his

new bottle of 60 pills of 40 mg Oxycontin were taken.

I was informed that a female at 1210 5th Ave had a warrant, and she was

wanting to turn herself in. I arrived and contacted Janea Ironbear; she said

she had a warrant for probation violation. She wanted to get her life

straightened out, so she wanted to get this taken care of. She was

I became aware that Scottsbluff Fire was going to a possible code. Upon

arrival an elderly female was found lying on the floor; she was unresponsive.

There also was a large amount of blood on the floor and in a paper cup near

the body. I talked with the care taker who had found the female. Deresa

Garcia said she had been there earlier taking care of the victim. When she

tried to call her prior to coming back for the evening meds, there was no

answer. Upon her arrival she found the female on the floor;

she called 911. I took several pictures of the scene in the event they are

needed; I down loaded them to Police Share.

While patrolling, I observed vehicle 21-R688 make a left-hand turn without

signaling. When I stopped the vehicle, the driver and passenger switched

seats. I contacted the correct driver, JOSHUA MARTINEZ, who stated they

Nichole Robinson called to say a bald white male about 5'6" 160# wearing a

black t-shirt and brown pants pumped gas in to a black large SUV like an

Expedition. There was a female with long blond hair in the passenger seat.

Nichole Robinson could not see anyone else in the vehicle. It looked to her

like the male intended to steal the gas because she did not see him try and

swipe a card of any kind. She could only say the license plate was a green

run away. Pamela reported that her son ran away and took her car. At the time

On the above date, I viewed a Ford Explorer driving with a defective brake

light. I completed a traffic stop and had contact with driver, Qrishana Pena.

Further investigation showed Pena to be in possession of several liquor and

beer bottles. Pena and one additional juvenile passenger were cited for

minors being in possession and open container.

On 03/31/13 I observed two vehicles west bound in the 000 Blk of W.17th St.

traveling at an estimated speed of 40 Mph. I then observed a male passenger

leaning out the window flipping off the vehicle in front of them. The front

vehicle then pulled in front of the Police Station. I then stopped the other

vehicle and had contact with the driver, Charmion Delos Santos. Charmion was

later cited for Driving without a license and Open Container.
