INTRODUCTION

Centrifugal FansAll Baltogar equipment is custom made on demand. The impeller design at the centrifugal fan range, with specifi c blades for each application, reaches high effi ciencies and optimal performance handling air or clean gasses or in extreme situations of humidity, corrosion or dust. Baltogar applies the required regulations of each country, project and sector to its products. API-560 or API-673 are applied in the fan design for petrochemical plants.

For explosive enviroments, Baltogar fans are certifi ed according to ATEX EN14986:2007 Standard.

The performance of the centrifugal range reaches:

• Flow rates exceeding 1,000,000 m3/h.

• Static pressure over 30,000 Pa per stage.

• Tip speeds above 230 m/s.

• Operating temperature of 520°C with speeds over 190m/s.

Axial FansBaltogar axial fan range for industrial processes achieves pressure up to 4,500 Pa per single-stage, in severe operating conditions such as steel mill cooling towers, mist removal in paper mills, rotary kiln cooling, ventilation in naval and off-shore facilities, etc. Depending on the application and the gases being handled, the impellers are supplied in aluminum, plastic composite or steel and can operate continuously with temperatures up to 250°C.

TestingAt the test bench, Baltogar performs among other controls, vibration level tes-tings, fl ow pressure, absorbed power, sea-ling and sound emission measurements, ensuring that every single equipment upholds the maximum level of quality.

Baltogar checks the characteristics and performance of its fans for its customers through witnessed testings, according to ISO 5801:1997 Standard, at maximum or reduced speed up to 1,000 kW absorbed power.

MaterialsDepending on the operating conditions, and the gases in the process, Baltogar selects the proper arrangement of the fan and the appropriate materials.

Among others, the following are used:

• Steel with high yield strength.

• Alloys for high temperature such as Incolloy, Inconel or Hastelloy.

• Several types of stainless steel.

• Anti-wear and bi-metallic materials for impellers and casings.

For critical applications, the performance of the materials is tested against fatigue and/or creep phenomena.

• Range for grid frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
